an illegal adoption market was mentioned when talking about ben needham - is there one in portugal? i'm hoping that's the reason she was taken, and that she will be found.

this thread isn't grief-lite, mourning sickness etc - people are genuinely worried for her and hope she's safe.

Like many others , I also cant stop wondering/hoping that she has been found
. My thoughts and prayers are with madeleine. Please God let her be found safe and sound soon.

I'd like to add my name to this thread, praying for the safe return of this little girl to her family.

They will have to live with this for the rest of their lives...no matter the outcome. I personally would never have left my child alone in an apartment. When we went on holiday when he was small, we just acccepted the fact of early suppers, then evenings on the balcony with a glass of wine, watching the world go by.... and early to bed!

Apparently they could see the apartment door from the table though, so I don't think they were negligent. How could you guess someone would jimmy the windows.

I just wondered if there had been any more news or sightings. It is a tragic situation. Who in their right mind would leave three under 4's alone, i would have worried about choking, being sick or just one crying and waking up the other two. That would be enough for me to stay in! This poor child had the right to be safe and protected by her parents - what were they thinking. I hope she is safe and will be returned but I do feel the parents should be investigated/prosecuted its not acceptable to leave children unattended - ever.

The threads in DT certainly are:rolleyes: , including the one that was purely asking anyone who wished to to pray.:(

Sorry if wanting a bit of community spirit offened you, maybe we should have just kept on slating the parents because that really helped.

I think you'll find if you read the thread that was locked because of people arguing that I was one of the few NOT slating the parents. ;)

I was also the first to thank you for starting the prayer thread, though you will not be aware of that as Thanks are shown in alphabetical order of username. When I said I thought the thread would be locked last night, something I thought likely because of certain comments being left on there NOT by me and I showed my sadness at the thought by the 'sad' smiley. I am very pleased that I was wrong and your prayer thread is still running.

I don't really understand why you think community spirit has offended me?

i hope she is found safe and well.

My little girl is the same age as Madaline and this story has really upset me - those poor parents will be regreting that meal out for the rest of their lives even if she is found safe and sound.

I bought the Mail on Sunday and some people who'd holidayed there had been interviewed. They said that the 'listening' service had been discontinued. You couldn't leave 2 year olds awake there, you had to stop at the creche facility till they'd nodded off and the babysitting service was over-subscribed.
