I can't get the missing little girl in Portugal out of my head

if i lose sight of my little monster even for more than 20secs when in town i get anxious, even though i know he wont run for away and will always want to be in sight for me.
i really feel for the parents. What they must be going through is very disturbing and stressful. Must be even harder for the 2 young twins as they probably dont understand all the comotion around them.0 -
I don't think criticising the parents is in any way helpful. Direct your anger to the paedophiles and kidnappers.
helpful to who? we cant be "helpful" .... we are hundreds of miles away and dont know anything,
of course the person/people who took her (or any child) deserves our hate, and believe me they will get it....
but you can not ignore the fact that this could all have been so easily avoided if the parents hadnt been so selfish.
i will admit that its a horrible thing to be saying, but the parents are coming across as sterile and emotionless, and that starts alarm bells ringing for a lot of people and if we want to discuss it, then we will.
we have been glued to the tv watching these kinds of awful stories unfold way too many times, even the police are saying its unlikely she will be found alive now....
one way or another i just hope she is found, then the family can grieve and try to carry on, unlike Ben Needhams mother who's life has been destroyed by not knowing the truth, that poor woman still believes her son is out there somewhere and even if he is... i doubt he even knows he was once Ben0 -
Hi
How many adults were in the group? How many other children? Something really doesn't seem right. I too am absolutely appalled that 2 bright people could make such a dodgy descion. They may not have thought about them being kidnapped, but what of the distress the kids would suffer if they woke up. Why would an abductor take a 4 year old for the black market and leave 2 year olds? Surely the 2 year olds would be a better option as they would forget their previous identities quicker than a 4 year old.
We have had many threads on how old before to leave children and I would have thought that the McCanns would have been aware of the NSPCC guidelines and the laws stance on this. They could well be facing prosecution.
I feel for the little girl who is suffering because of her parents' stupidity.0 -

I think they know full well they made a mistake but how many other parents will be thinking there but for the grace of god go I...
We all make decisions that could one day come back to haunt us. Thankfully 99.9 times out of a 100 no harm is done but it's easy to say that with hindsight.
I am sceptical about all the publicity around this - why is it always the blonde pretty kids who command headlines? However if it makes one parent think twice before leaving a child alone then it's a good thing imo and I just hope that there's a happy outcome in this story or at least some outcome and the parents aren't left not knowing what's happened.0 -
Still no further updates this morning, I personally feel sick to the stomach, so god knows what her parents are going through.
Praying for a quick and safe return of Madeline...

i thought the itv news footage of Portuguese police sheltering in their car from the rain, rather than doing stop searches of the border (what they were supposed to be doing)...was very worryingBring back mark and lard NOW! or else (please) clique member no. 10 :j

Every year teenagers in Britain die crossing the road; no-one expects us to hold teenagers hands crossing the road.
Children drown in ponds and pools every year, yet people still build pools in their garden. In fact, people choose to go on holiday to places with pools and ponds - the danger is so much greater.

We are infact talking about 3 little children under the age of 4 FGS slight difference here, regardless they still should not have left their children in the way that they did.
