....smoking
Well done to all of you who have quit, congratulations. I'm a bit of an eavesdropper on this site and I don't post much because I'm still getting to grips with this money thing BUT smoking (or rather NOT smoking) is something so close to my heart.
I quit smoking on 3/9/05 cold turkey and I can say in all honesty I wish, wish, wish I'd done it years ago. I'm sill evangelical about quitting and I can't believe there are still smokers in this world. It's been hard at times, truly gut wrenchingly hard but it always passes.
I wish you all the strength to continue. I found Click2quit forum super helpful too. Not sure what it's like now but then the support was superb.Grocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -

have quit noe for 142 days
its not troubling me too much i find the main issue is side-stepping that split second impulse where i used to reach for my fags to chill me out etc and after 142 days ive done all the nrt, the chewing gums, the sweets, the tangle toys and all the fidgety things to distractmyself so now im onto the deep breathing!
for all those just quitting it gets easier!!! i was out with smokers last nite and god did it sting my eyes:cool:0 -
142 days from my quit is 17th january.
No idea if i'll still be quit by then.0 -
