Morning all,
Sorry I've been AWOL, having a nightmare getting online at work cos the boss is actually making me do something (does he think I work for him or summat ) and having the 3 kids at home creating daily riots I just don't have much time to get online at home either!
You're all doing so well, extra pats on the back for Adzha cos I think you're struggling but look how strong you are :T Keep it all up, you are giving inspiration to those lurkers that are reading this (yes we know you are out there)
I'll pop back a bit later when the boss goes out.DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Day 1 for me!!!
I have been a smoker for 15 years and in the last few years have been up to 20 a day.
I was 29 yesterday  and it got me thinking that my goal IS to be a 30 yr old ex/non smoker.
I feel like I really want to do it which I never have before. I have the same reasons as everyone else money, health, 4 young kids etc... but something feels different this time?!?
I have tried to quit a few times before and the longest I have is 3 weeks.
Good luck to everybody doing this, I will be reading this a lot!!
Wish me luck:DPay off all your debt by Xmas 2012Aim £8200Total so far £3700Left £45000 -
Well done mum and welcome to the world of non-smokers
Every now and then a smoker will get an urge to quit and that's the time to take the bull by the horns cos you are more likely to succeed. Are you going cold turkey or using NRT?
Take a look at the first post on this thread and get a few tips and some support. We're all in the same boat and wish you every success, keep us updatedDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
I am going to try cold turkey but I have patches to hand if I feel that I need to start on them.

Afternoon all
back at work today and taking delight in telling everyone that I'm still not smoking - smug smile and pats on the back all round!!! Also had to give my notice in today as with my degree and the 2 GCSE's I'm about to start I can't manage work aswell!! So much easier because of the money I'm not spending on Cigarettes!
Welcome mum hope you're doing okay. Hope all well with you Adzha. Hi ILA I find somethings are tastier and the other evening I smelt the autumn in the air, oh it was lovely!!! Hi SB glad things still good with you. Hi Jo I think our bosses take a liberty when they expect us to work!!!
Take care, love and hugs
