Silverbuillit - I'm taking nothing
not craving nicotine anymore but my fingers miss holding a fag.

Mum - well done0 -
Thanks for the welcome!
The things that keep me incentivised are;
1) If I go for a beer or a meal, not wishing to be one of the poor saps smoking outside on the pavement in the cold and rain
2) Totting up on a regular basis how much money I havn't spent on ciggies
3) That my cough has gone and recovery times when doing exercise is so much improved.0 -
firstly I have to say hello to everyone, I haven't posted before but have been lurking.
I've been intending to quit smoking for months and my last failed attempt was about four months ago (tried quitting six times before that, oh the shame!)
Well I came across this thread and have just phoned my gp's and made an appointment to see their smoking counsellor and I have a stack of patches left over from previous failed attempts so tomorrow is going to be the day! I have got to quit, I have a seven month old baby and I feel disgusting when I have him in the buggy with me and I buy cigarettes.
I smoke 20 a day and spend £4.70 per packet
time to start signing up to all the quitting websites...
wish me luck!
