:jMorning all, thanks Sue, yeah he is my one inspiration in kicking the fags, I got my gosmokefree pack this morning, and im thinking that zyban is the way to go for me, an feeback on this guys? Its just that I know a few ppl who have been successful with zyban, I dont think I want the patches, and i cant use the chewing gum coz im a chef. Cant wait for my appointment on monday now, nearly cancelled it coz OH works nights and im having my loft re-insulated (free off the councl, very dfw of me!), so rather than cancel the appointment Ive asked my brother to come round while they are here so i can go to the docs;)
Having a great day, only 1 dirty ciggie so far!!

    mm

ONE giggie ....all day madmoney???? You are doing brilliantly and must be so very proud of your success so far, rightly so too.:T Re the Zyban, I've heard nothing bad about it and it you've had good reports about it, why not try and see how you go. Before you do though - how are you feeling at present with having so few? D'you get any or many cravings or become tetchy now and again? If you don't then why not see how you go with just using the tips weve given you and see if you need anything else; no point in putting anything else into your system if there's no need for it. Write down the feelings you get in a day and see what you think.

I'm pleased you didn't need to cancel the appointment with your doc, he may throw more light on things for you anyway, so wait until then before taking the Zyban and see what he/she advises too.

Keep up the low amout over the weekend mm, your health is already benefitting more than you may realise! Keep strong and if battling at all think of your little lad's words and grab the water and an apple! :D

Im goin to the docs to see the nurse for a half an hour session, she will talk me thru all my options and we will find out what may be best for me, with zyban u take a 2 month course, and after ur 2nd week of taking them u r ready to stop smoking. Altho there is a relatively new one called champix which I dont know too much about. Just havinga crap day today!!

Hi mm. Well I guess that would pretty much definately answer my question! ;)

There has been great success with folk using Champix here as well as a lady in our village who reckons it's got her through it all without any problems, she's 8 weeks away from the weed now and feeling and looking great!!!

Are you working today? If you're not then that'll possibly account for why your tetchy and having problems with OH, possibly starting last night with the weekend looming and no work. Be honest please mm ....does he STILL smoke indoors????

I'm hoping that he's not, but after you asking tattycathy about her OH smoking outside I just wondered if I might be being a problem for you.

Until Monday, go back over the PM and look through all the tips and go out for a brisk walk when possible or pound up and down the stairs and stamp it all out of you. The one thing you cannot do - is to let it get the better of you - though I think you know that all too well. Take extra showers/baths and relax yourself.

I bet that Nurse will be brilliant on Monday and have some great advice for you, keep looking forward to that new you ...and that new healthy life!:D

Madmoney...I'm on Champix and have found this my easiest quit attempt ever.I have tried everything over the years and this is the easiest it's ever been and I was used to smoking 40 a day and had been for a lot of years.I'm confident that I'm going to do it this time.I was offered the inhalator to take along side champix but said no and glad that I did as I managed without it.
Good luck with whatever you decide to use ...don't give up giving up.If something doesn't work for you then try something else.
