    That's good advice Lula.

Wannabee - I'm OK even though I did have that final ciggie this morning but weirdly when my colleague came in I wanted a cigarette. He just irritates me :o

Well done on not spending money in the post office

Well done everyone you're all doing great!!!
Naomi. You have not failed... you have had a temporary glitch-this is what makes us human. and like Miia said, you did only buy 10 not 20. It's these hiccups and glitches that make us stronger and more determined-so get back on the wagon dust yourself down and carry on. We're all here to help you along. hth

Morning all. Last night was fine, by OH was out at a meeting and I was babay sitting so could not have gone to the shops even if I had wanted to. I found getting to sleep really difficult so took patch off at midnight. I still had very weird dreams though. I dreamt that Lawrence Dalalio was playing his last rugby match but he had just had "receeding" hair work done. He had bright orange hair like a 1 of those scottish wigs fans take to the footie games? He was really proud of it and kept flicking it like the David Walliams character Sebastian!
Wanna, glad you walked past the PO again :).
I am back patched this morning and looking forward to the day. Miia, I did exactly the same thing, smoked my last ciggie and now I am getting on with it. Good luck for today:)
Naomim, don't feel bad. Jump back on the wagon as soon as you are ready! We all have blips so please tell us how you are doing. I agree they do run out of power by the afternoon - give it a bloody good rub!! Quick question, did you find that the first ciggie you smoked from the packet taste awful? Whenever I have started again, they always do, but but the 10th I am hooked again and think they taste great.
Good luck to everyone today, be it patches, anger management, gum, carrots or other root vegtables. We can do this!!
I feel so much better having spent 5 mins talking about it!!

    Hi cantwin.

That must have been a shock for you. Hope you are OK. Good luck with the nurse on Friday. It looks like you are going to have some good support around you.

    xx

Hi Cantwin. I am very sorry about your diagnosis, even being told you are ill does not suddenly make it easy to stop. I am speaking from experience on that point. Good luck with the nurse on Friday. Perhaps you could think about the quit day? This time last week I new that I was ready to quit. I decided that I was going to "enjoy" the weekend, couple of beers etc and start on the 1st June. (That slipped to Monday the 2nd!!). I wish you all the best

Day 7 ... and like many posting on here, it is the "shop habit" that in a way is as hard as anything - for me anyway, but the upside (and it is a major major upside) is finding money in my pocket.

But I have help in my local shop - the lady behind the counter gave up about 6 months ago - and she and I have a deal - if I ever ask - she will refuse to serve me.

I have also found getting out for a walk - away from shops - helps me create a barrier between the moment I feel the craving and rebuilding the determination to say no.

... and Naomim - not only can you do it - you will. We all will - each in our own way - but we all will!
