    Hi All,

Ended yesterday with 1 fag at the pub quiz (did really well until i got bored then decided to have a cig, really need to stop doing that)

Only had 2 fags at work today and have 2 left in my pack of 10 (that i bought friday :T ) so im NOT BUYING ANY MORE

I have tried really hard to not make this the be all and end all, i want to quit and i will!!!! If i keep thinking negatively i will fail again then i know i will, i need to get my !!!! in gear.

Im rambling now so will shut up ...........

No, but I have cut down.

Quitting is the least of my worries at the moment, and being here isn't doing anything.

Day 2 of being a non-smoker and after 48 hours apparently my ability to taste and smell will have improved. Could that possibly mean I won't like chocolate or biscuits anymore  . Nah, thought not!

Stop Smoking Counsellor phoned today and confirmed the weekend of feeling extremely unwell was indeed the side effects of the increased dosage of Champix. Oh well, it made me stop smoking anyhow and he's pleased on that front (so am I ;) ).

Can't believe how easy it's been to cut down and stop on Champix. AB you were so right!!

Well done to those who've had another smoke-free day and to those en-route to the quit :T

  • I've been a bit rubbish. Stopped for two days cold turkey but was bored in traffic jam, still had emergency fags in the car so had one. Am really cross with myself. Might have to go to smoking counseller for some patches or something. Don't think I can do it on my own (does that sound really pathetic).
  • great stuff ali, you wont regret it, best thing I ever did
davesdaughter I would recomend you ask for champix its so easy to quit with these

DD, go and see your local pharmacist and see if they've got a smoking cessation clinic thingy. Patches are good (for me anyways). There's tons of stuff available now so get loads of info and get loads of advice. You can crack this :)

    Hello everyone,

Can i join in please, I've only just found this thread & havent had a cig since last wednesday :j. This is my 3rd & hopefully final attempt. I have cut down on each attempt & was on about 6 a day. Have previously tried the will power method but finally admitted I have none :o so now chewing gum whenever the craving hits.

I've got to fill car up with petrol tomorrow & dreading it as that's where i usually got my cigs. Any tips to stop myself saying " & 20 silk cut please " greatly appreciated ...

    Hi Lula and welcome

You just gotta bite the bullet and stride in there, pay for your petrol and run out :rotfl:

Or maybe do what I've tried previously...don't buy any in there but say if you really NEED them you can get them at the next shop, then do the same at the next shop, and so on and so on?

Good luck hun, let us know how you get on :)
