People look me strange when I ask the following question, but I'm serious!!
What do non-smokers DO???
I'm on my 4th day of champix, and already seeing an effect on how much I smoke. My cut off day for the ciggies is Friday, but might even give up before then! The problem is the habit. When I sit down for 10 minutes and watch TV I normally have a smoke, or if I'm chatting to friends or on the phone I smoke, When I read I smoke, and so on. So what do I do when I don't smoke? Not sure if you understand what I mean, but could really do with some help!!!
I know what you mean, I was the exact same but you do slowly stop associating the action with smoking. Until then its a crave moment and you just grit your teeth and breath through it. The more you do the action without smoking the easier it becomes - just takes a while.
My stop smoking day was jan 13th with champix and tbh apart from a few tough days around the month mark its been really easy. The only smokes I still miss are the ones where everything is done and I want my reward, but even those are now just fleeting thoughts
Good luck0 -

feedum that's fab - I was thinking about you yesterday :T ...although I thought you had been spending the money on new brushes anyway
I spent the weekend in Somerset with a friend doing active stuff. She said she thought I would never be able to stop and was very proud of me for doing 6 weeks :A and I managed the long walks without being as knackered as I usually am!
redkelly - the patches used to leave marks on me too - so after about 9 days or so I started to cut down on the amount of time I was wearing them. Then just making sure that I always had one with me 'just in case' and even sticking them in the back pocket of my jeans so it felt like I was wearing one even though I wasn't
Whatever works for you but don't let the fact that they make your skin go a bit red for a few days give you an excuse to go back to the fagsplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Morning all.. hope we all had a good smokefree weekend
Bit confused though... is it my monthiversary today or tomorrow?
Saw the nurse again today .. blew another 1 (that sounds a bit wrong.. ), she said she'd see me in a month and hopefully stop the champix then as she thought i was doing really well, that'll have been about 11 weeks
Will be glad about that .. they have worked wonders but on saturday I left a BBQ early coz I hadn't brought the pills out and wanted to get back to make sure I took it... in hindsight I should have just stayed out and not taken it but at the time it was all I could think of:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0
