Am i allowed to rear my head again?
Ive had another "i need to quit moment" this time it is purely money related, was playing on the snowball calculator and put in the number of cigs i have a week and the price i pay and its a whopping £667.22 per year.
Thats £55.60 a month. Now since i want to save a lump sum and then use it to pay off a cc this will help no end.
i tried and failed a few months back, but this time im going to take my time and actually plan it out.
Will lurk for a while and will see how i get on, but i think it really is time for change, have said this 50 times before i know and everyone gets bored of me quitting and then starting again, any tips or advice greatley received because i need to make it work this time!!
Good to see another returner - I'm on attempt number 3. The important thing is you want to do it and not the number of attempts it takes.
A useful thing to do is look back over what you learnt from the previous attempts and use that to your advantage in your new quit. Are you going to use any NRT or cold turkey?
I'm on the very early stages of champix and weird as it sounds, I seem to forget that I'm a smoker for hours on end, so am naturally cutting down before the quit day comes and so far it's brilliant.
Keep us posted on your plans.Back on the DFW Wagon:

hiya, I'm on day 4, so the first day of 2 x 0.5mg. Haven't quite decided on quit day yet, a toss up between next weekend or Mon 28th April. More distraction doing it on a work day, though with the weekend lie-ins, less hours awake to tempt me :rotfl:
Having said that, Champix is magic! I have no doubt I will stop and stay stopped and I am so looking forward to it. Will discuss further with the Smoking Cessation Counsellor who I see next Tuesday.Back on the DFW Wagon:
