The nausea, horrible coughing up, sleeplessness and headaches (for some) are all so natural and will soon pass, as will the strange dreams.
Sue.
I had my 1st weird dream last night apparently, I say apparently 'cos I know nothing about it :A OH told me this morning I leapt outta bed and was looking out the window with a petrified look on my face before just walking back and getting calmly into bed again!My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »This morning, for the first time ever, I can honestly say that I am not scared of the thought of never having a cigarette again.
Great stuff MFD, can't wait for that feeling myself.

Morning to you too T73,
I'm fine, doing some housework for the OH and waiting for the boilerman to come and fix my boiler. Haven't had a patch on now for 3 days and the urge to kill is subsidiing now!0 -

Feeling like the cravings are getting less & less the dreams & broken sleep are still there! I'm going out tonight with the girls to the PUB!! ahhhh!! first night out since I've quit. Any advice on how to not smeak off for a quick smoke when I've got 1/2 litre of Vodka in me!! haha

Well done on not smoking after getting bad news, a few years ago when my father passed away my older brother didn't smoke during the wake/funeral and he said he knew he'd never smoke again if he was able to get through that, so well done you!
As for the boozing I'd suggest making sure your friends are well warned in advance not to let you out of their sight for a second-keep you on a tight leash and follow you everywhere, I've a wedding tomorrow and that's what I've advised everyone to do, I'm getting the best man to announce it as well so nobody will help me out even if I want!0 -

I'm off to the pub tomorrow, think i'm just gonna take enough cash to buy a couple of drinks and leave my card at home, that way I can't get any even if i wanted some!:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
Good idea with the card! If it helps I had to go to someone's leaving party not long after stopping. It was the first time I'd been in a pub since the smoking ban and although I did think of having one, I managed as it's no longer all around you as it was pre-ban.
Recently I've looked around me when generally out and about and rarely see anyone smoking. Not only is this a non-reminder so to speak but I also wonder how others would react if I should light up. Kills the craving for me.
Well done everyone and thanks, I've found this thread a great encouragement.0
