3rd day without a smoke and feeling strange, not quite confident, more proud of myself that I'm not snapping people's heads off for having the temerity to look in my general direction-in the past I've been an absolute terror to live with when I tried quitting before, cold turkey's not for me I fear!

Champix is a bit of a weird one, as I said previously I don't really feel as if it's helping so much but at the same time my cravings aren't as bad as I expected and I'm not as 'short' as I anticipated being.

Strangely this morning I felt very nauseous, specifically as I put some raw toast into the toaster, thought I was gonna hurl so I decided to go without, when I got into work I scarpered out and grabbed two sausage rolls with red sauce, so the nausea didn't stay with me for too long!

Not as emotional today as I was yesterday which is great! Hope everyone has a great day.

  • Hi all

Day 5!! Still going strong, weird dreams are starting to annoy me!1 I keep dreaming of Jordan & Peter Andre if all these different places like my local pub & asda!!?? Anyway my sleep is quite broken & I'm wondering if it's because the nicotine dulls your brain & when you stop smoking your brain is more active? Thats my theory!! haha. Also does anyone else have really bad wind? I know thats not pleasant lol!!

    Keep strong everyone xxxxxxx :)
BEEN AWAY FOR A WHILE NOW BACK TO COMPING BIG STYLE!! :p

  • Hiya waspy - I am so pleased to hear things went well for you today - isn't it a wonderful thing to go through a tough time and not be just wanting to run away for a cigarette! :T Well done you!

feedumall - keep up the dancing and at least the fattening food won't pile on the pounds lol

LMTP - my sleep is still disturbed at day 19, I am off to buy some herbal sleeping tablets today to see if I can settle myself down a bit. DH is shattered too because my constant tossing and turning means that he is not getting a good nights sleep either.
