Morning Everyone and well done to you all!

MFD there must be a problem with that machine, if your not smoking though at least you know it must be wrong.

I have finally reached day 21! I am so pleased with myself. Only thing is though I've caught dreaded man - flu off my Husband and I feel so ill (thought he was exaggerating over how ill he was!).

  • Morning all - thanks for the support, I needed it!!!

The best thing about it was that I didn't have that overwhelming urge to have a cigarette that I normally get when I am struggling to cope with something (if I am sad or if I am pee'd off). There was a time when I would have been battling with myself to keep me from going straight to the shop but that didn't happen. Well done me :T

hello newbies - come on in and join in the fun :D

Too many things to remember - congrats to all on your significant dates :T

 waspeze - OMG, I thought you were a woman  don't know where I got that from!! Funnily enough I thought ab was a woman for a while too - my mind must just default to female :p

MFD - I can only say what everyone else has.... don't put too much on a machine reading. It's what YOU know you've done that's important :) Be proud of yourself!! We're proud of you

ninapne - I also have the dreaded man flu. In fact I'm not sure how much longer I've got ;) Well done on the three weeks

lmtp, ab, taxi :hello: - you're all doing great! :T

Hi to the newbies. Go and look at the first post for some useful stuff ;):D

I’m on day two so far, 36 hours since my last smoke, :T using Champix since 21st March, haven’t really noticed it helping although it probably is, recorded 15 strong cravings yesterday which peaked after the footy!

Feeling very weepy today-which isn’t good for a 6ft tall burly bloke!!

I know what you mean MFD, in the past when I have been mad, upset etc I would just have had a smoke to calm down.

To be honest I have been through a lot of !!!!!! at work this last week, if I was smoking I would have been smoking double what I normally did.

Instead though in these hard situations I've calmed down by thinking well it could be worse....I could be smoking!

    Hope I make sense!

weep away - you won't be the first or the last and at least we can't see you ;)

Well done on making it to day 2 :T , can't promise it will get easier in the short term but one day it will.

Are you doing anything to get you through the cravings??? deep breathing, chewing gum etc???
