The Giving Up Smoking Thread!!

I was having panic attacks at the thought of giving up, but it's just over 5 hours smoke free now. I found that the fear of giving up was actually stopping me doing it.

I been smoking since I was 16, 35-40 a day and I'm now 50+

it is a fear thing, but there is nothing to fear,
vicky get on the champix its easy
mfd, when I stopped the champix I felt a bit paranoid for one day and that was it. runcorn, widnes, rather be a brummie

I remain convinced that the 'addiction' of smoking is 0.01% physical and 99.99% psychological.....

I don't know but champix is working for me... already down to 4/5 from between 15 and 20 and not "meant" to be giving up for another few days!

zyban is an anti depressant that was found to help people quit
champix was developed as a stop smoking medecine

They seem to do the same sort of thing, so probably the only difference is that one is made by Pfizer and the other by SKB........
