Smoking must be affecting my eyesight 'cos I read that as HRT :rotfl:
I tried patches many moons ago but they just brought me out in a nasty rash lol that and I figured the quickest way to rid myself of nicotine was to go down the cold turkey route *braces myself for another 'Trainspotting' moment, buckets a-ready* lol okay, am not THAT bad cold turkey .....it's usually day 2 that hits me in a  kinda way0 -
me to, thats why i have tried a different approach this time, i am on champix, and it seems to have negated all the rage so far, i am quite mellow at the moment, been 3 weeks now and apart from a little blip of feeling unwell its going really well.
No cravings at all, no rage, bit tired but apart from that great!!!!!!0 -
Day 3 for me :j Didn't think I'd get this far! Today is the worst to date - I was awake at 5.30 and by 7 I decided to go for a run - anything to take my mind of it! I'm so irritable and moody that even my son has gone fishing (and its freezing) to get away from me! I just feel sooooo down but at the same time happy that I've not given in to having one - does that make sense?Life is about laughing & living, in good times & bad, getting through whatever comes our way & looking back with a smile0

Hi classyellie, yes that makes sense to me. It does get easier eventually. I was very irritable when i first quit-my eldest DD said why don't you just have a fag mum. but I didn't and I'm glad I didn't. Sometimes it's still hard, i still think I want a smoke on occasion, but the cravings don't last long. Well done so far, you're doing great!!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Day 5 and still going! I'm feeling better today and not so irritable
My first thought this morning wasn't wanting one - progression?
The cravings don't seem as bad either and although I feel hungry more often, I'm sticking to crunching on carrot sticks!
