Oh dear, just had huge barney with 11yo DD who thinks it's perfectly fine to appear home from school half an hour later than usual with no explanation or apology. I was out the front with the phone in my hand having just spoken to her friends brother......the mum had gone out to the bus stop to see if she could see them. Now I want to smoke lol!Smokefree since 27-9-20070

It won't make anything different though, will it? TBH, it won't really even calm you down THAT much
Stay strong, take a deep breath and have a glass of [STRIKE]vodka[/STRIKE] water.......:dance:There's a real buzz about the neighbourhood :dance:0 -

Lol the vodka would be great if I didn't have to go to work tonight........have sent the evil child to her room until she can be nice! Think she's overtired as she had school disco last night and was well crabby this morning. Hubby says she got in after 10. By the way she was dropped off by friends dad I don't leave her to make her own way home from discos but I was working and he was home with the little one!Smokefree since 27-9-20070

I don't envy you. I know exactly what an overtired 11yo can be like. They're scary!!!!
Well handled, though;):dance:There's a real buzz about the neighbourhood :dance:0 -

Wait till she gets older....my 15yo DD had a school trip to Kew Gardens on Wednesday, I'd misplaced the letter and couldn't remember what time she was going to be home but I knew that they were all getting off at the tube station and to make their own way home. She didn't get home till gone 7pm and it was dark! I knew that the school wouldn't let that happen so managed to find the letter which says they'll get back to the station around 4.30pm'ish. So I questioned her and she reckoned they didn't leave Kew Gardens till then. Now being a mother of a teenager I've learnt not to trust a single word they say (sad, but true), so said that I was going to ring the school in the morning to find out what time they got to the station and she had one last chance to come clean, she insisted that's what happened. So rung the school apparently they got off the train at 4.45pm and it took her 2 hours and 20 minutes to get half a mile home. What she also didn't realise was that my neighbour saw her in Macdonalds :rotfl:
Hence, she's grounded......again...
So, just get ready for it!
Worst prob is, my younger two are DS 4yrs and DD 2yrs, because of the girls being slightly faster in maturing at that age, I'm gonna go through it all again with two   :eek:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Yes I totally sympathise, I remember only too well being that age and thinking it was all ok and parents just moan for the hell of it. My mum says all my chickens are coming home to roost! Well this one's just started high school so she thinks she's suddenly allowed to behave like some monster. Glad I'm off to work in a bit!Smokefree since 27-9-20070
