    :D ADZ :D
DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!
  • Hiya everyone! Would have popped in earlier but decided to go to bed cos I was cold and tired, I'm not a lazy cow, just work late and once in a while it's nice to get the kids to school and grab a few hours extra! Anyway, hope you're all having a great day, especially Adz happy birthday! I'm twice your age that's quite scary. Still feeling ok about the smoking thing, bit nervous cos the lady only gave me a starter pack of the sucky thing so it only has 6 capsules in.......I smoked it all the way home from work last night, had it hanging out my mouth like a freak......not seeing her till Tuesday so trying to use it sparingly. So far so good though.......daughter did tell me I had a sticky thing on my arm this morning but I changed the subject. Don't like people at home being involved because they all ask questions and try and encourage me and I prefer to just be left alone and get on with it. Quit meter already says I've saved £8.54, amazing! When I break it down we've not had a holiday for 2 years, I could pay for one with 2 months cig money, really shocked I've never worked it out before.......ah well more motivation for me! Ok that's it for now, enjoy the rest of your day, hope it's not as grey and cold wherever you are!

Hey Laura, you're doing great! I know what you mean about try to keep your quit a bit quiet. I didn't want to have to think about fags during the first week or two and when everyone kept asking how I was doing I felt worse :rotfl: they only mean it in the best interests though :)

  • Yeh I know they do but been there done that, didn't help! Being the only one who smokes it should be easier anyway, I'm the only one noticing at mo. Surprised at the washing too, all the dry stuff I was ironing yesterday was clean and had sat around in the heap a few days, I could already smell smoke on it. Pretty gross actually I been sending the poor kids off smelling of fags! Anyway no more, noticed the house smells better already, even though I only smoked in the kitchen. Really think this is the time I stop for good, so many reasons now, what did everyone find the hardest time? I'm sure I'm finding this too easy so it's gotta get harder!

First four days were the 'hardest' - to me they weren't that hard, though for a better answer you should ask my [STRIKE]husband[/STRIKE] wife ;) :rotfl:

Laura, you will scoff and scoff and scoff and scoff, but don't worry about that - you have the best ever incentive to stay quit, think of your kids sitting at school smelling of smoke! You are doing great :D
