    Evening all,

Fresh air at the park followed by nearly 2 hours in the pool, a tea of HM curried parsnip soup and rolls, and I now have two tired 11 yr old girls in their pjs watching Kung Fu Panda 2 and eating choc chip cookies; they look so much younger in their pjs and very sweet too :)

No studying done today and I might not get much done this week. As long as I get straight back into it next week I'll be happy, I just need to make sure that I do!!!

Swimming stuff in DW and house generally straight. I just need to give the kitchen a tidy round now we've all eaten then I'm hoping for an early(ish) night for us all; that fresh air and a swim have done me in too ;) I can't remember who said about "putting the house to bed" but I love this phrase and tell myself it's time to do this each evening. So, I'm off to S&S kitchen and get the house (and myself) ready for bed; anyone else want 7.45-8.15, HHC to 'get the house ready for bed?'

    Cake x

Hi Louloucake. What a coincidence that you've written this just above my post as it's my saying! I'm glad you like it!!

Lot's of my friends do it now and at night we 'put the house to bed', feed the cats their supper, then have a last milky drink, like two old fogies (alright, we are two old fogies!), and get ready for bed. But, it really makes a difference to get up to a tidy house, doesn't it?

It sounds like you had a great day today - and very MSE! Enjoy your week, R x.

Ooops... still getting used to all this thread short-hand :rotfl:

Swimming stuff now out of the WM (not DW) and hanging to dry in laundry room :)

And one of these for afters!

Thanks for the link Valli - they sound lovely and I have left over mincemeat to use up too. I'll need to wait a couple of weeks before baking them though as the oven hasn't worked properly since Christmas, but we're hopefully getting one this month. Just waiting for a cheque to arrive from my savings account. Can't wait to get baking again - I'm really missing it!

Kitchen tidied again after tea, just need to work up the enthusiasm to do a HHE, although I'm not sure it'll happen at this time. I had planned to do it after dropping of niece & nephew at 3pm but my girls and them wanted to carry on playing, so I dropped them at 4.15 and missed my opportunity for my HHE. :(

Girls are back in schoold tomorrow and I'm back to work too, so I won't be able to log on until after school. Just wanted to check what was on the list for tomorrow so I can make a start as soon as I get home. I'll rope the girls into helping too - they're getting quite good at helping tidy up.

Bonnie on the topic of kitchen planning dont put the dishwasher by a wall. Makes a hell of a mess.

Flying wise decluttered puppy love to vets and found my bacoglide down the back of the dresser. I can see it but not get to it. Grr.

Thanks R, this is something that I have done for a long time now and never had a name for it but your saying fits perfectly :T And it really does make a difference in the mornings too :)

Hoping to enjoy more cheap days of fun this week, I hope the weather holds as it's so nice to get out and see the sun :D We do also have enough arts and crafts materials to keep a busy art department going for at least a year so some painting, making, baking and generally mess making will be on the cards this week too :)

    Evening peeps

Havent been in for a week but doesnt mean I wasnt flying, most nights by the time I sat down the internet had gone off (its on a timer to stop DD being on it all night!)

Many thanks to Natty and Dusty

Anyway have been off work today with the stinker of all colds that started Sat night so have read back all of last weeks thread. I actually wrote down all my responses but by the time I type them up the internet will be off again. However massive apologies to those whose birthdays I missed - Vanilla, Dusty, Dorajar, and anyone else I missed. Big hugs to all the poorlies and poorly pets. Oh and congratulations to PenPen for 27 yers with her DH.

Today has been limited as I didnt feel like getting showered and dressed until about 2. I then managed to switch mine and DD's dentist appointents as mine was today and hers Wednesday and dragged her off for that. By the time I got in I was shattered so luckily yesterday I had made a big pan of Pea and Ham soup for tonights tea so that was easy. I then forced myself to do something and a here to update.

    First though

    Hola!

Oh Lordy I'm tired.com. Miss moo had us up all night, finally at five she said "but my ears has a hurting" bless her. I went off to work at 6.30 after no sleep, and MIL got DS to nursery and DD to doc. Ear infection :( both sides. She is loads better now, lots of pain killers and antib's and if she gets some sleep she can go back to nursery tomorrow. She's been dancing and playing, and eating well.

So I've done nothing around the house but while on granny duty, MIL has done a wash, kitchen dailies and general ship-shapiness.

Will be off early doors again tomorrow. So I'll catch up tomorrow night.
