YAY!! New pegs are called for Gail!!
I got new green ones with my new line.
Pigpen does that mean your new line is up and operational? Very jealous - I only have an old whirligig here - makes me dizzy pegging out :rotfl:
Lamewolf well done on the pegging out - glad your arms are a wee bit better. I think you should allow yourself at least one day of R&R so that you have some energy to enjoy the weekend with Mr LW.
On the subject of pegs - all pegs here are wooden. Choice is based on matching pegs to the strength of the gale blowing when washing is hung out. In strong winds I use extra long dolly pegs inherited from my Granny
Flying so far - washing hung up, DW emptied. Kitchen surfaces part cleared and cleaned. So bad here it might not get all done, but at least it's better than last week
Lunch break over so I'm off to meal plan.

Flying going well, but DH is going to think I've done a 'Sleeping with the Enemy' on his kitchen cupboards. They were a mess. Things falling out and I couldn't find anything. It looked like they were packed. Now all sorted there is loads of space 'insert smug smilie'
Decluttered Cream cheese and cucumber bagel for lunch. Now for some invoicing. Need to get paid for almost a year's work, but I always feel guilty about charging for something I do almost for enjoyment. Sad aren't I?GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
BIG debate on this a while ago on flylady :rotfl:I am the same as Valli, all same colour, not mismatched pegs, ie all pink, when they run out, start on next colour, Funfairprincess likes hers to be like a RAINBOW but thats just plain untidy :rotfl::rotfl:
Life's too short to worry about matching pegs, imho!;):DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Posting from phone so this may be a disaster.... Just had to say that the peg thing has made me chuckle
it's not something I've ever thought about! I just grab whatever and get stuff on the line
Now, giving every item a shake and hanging it out smoothly and precisely I do do, and I carefully fold everything as I take it off so that I don't have to do any ironing
No HHI for me
Productive flying morning, lunch eaten and cleared up. We're now at another park and I've got snacks and swimming kits in the car so we can enjoy the 'kids crazy' session at the local pool 2.30-4.30
Back later x0 -
Well I've changed our bed - all bedding now on my new rotary drier ( the old one collapsed 2 weeks ago - the metal pipe had completely sheared through!) - pegged out with a variety of pegs - I'm with LW on this one - life is too short to match pegs up!
Our bed is remade and i have been for a swim at a new(ish) and relatively close swimming pool - very nice - I pottered up and down for 40 lengths and feel I have achieved something.
I thought I got in cheaper than last time - on closed inspection my ticket said 'concession' - the kids think it's hilarious - I am 50 and I do NOT look anywhere near 60!!!!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Thank you for the lists last week Dusty :T
After a disasterous week where I'm not actually sure where it went, what with birthday celebrations meaning I was out two days on the trot, bad councelling day, migraine the following day and then ontop of all that Scruffybear (Dog1) having a very bad gastric bug which he is still getting over, vet described it as Norovirus for dogs!!! But thankfully after some antibiotics and antacids from the vet, and a hefty bill, he is making a really good recovery.Thank gods I don't have to keep washing his doggy beds and clear up doggy sick anymore..ewww it was NOT nice. I sort of lost last week..lol
Anyway new week, new start although late afternoon for me..hehehe.
bonnie_bumpkins I completely gutted my kitchen a couple of years ago, and even now I am still trying to get it how I like. Although we have only just got round to having the ceiling lowered and the paper stripped from the walls..should have done it when we had the kitchen cupboards put in :rotfl: Piggers is your girl regarding kitchen refurbs, she had a little accident a few years back and refurbed her kitchenThe advice I would give is make sure you have everything where you want it to go as in applicance wise.
Re: Pegs I am a bit OCD about my pegs. I have a pink whirly gig with a pink line, and I have pink pegs obviously to match the line. Obviously if one peg breaks I have to replace them with more pink pegs.

Lol at the peg debate re-starting. Must be spring. Never mind little birds nesting; the Flyladies start getting the pegs out;rotfl:
Anyway have :eek:ed at the cobweb I spotted down the side of the wardrobe - result is wardrobe has been hauled out, dusted all over and cobweb etc vacuumed up. Broke for lunch; DS has had one of my omelettes (I make excellent omelettes) bacon; onion and cheese and I had a healthy salad. And one of these for afters!
Bonnie - all time spent PLANNING the kitchen is not wasted - you want a 'working' kitchen. I now have a fridge near the sink, in the main part of the kitchen which means stuff gets put away promptly (it didn't before) and a waist high oven (what a BOON!) and I had extra high cupboard, because if I had ordinary-height ones I would only have stored stuff on top as well as in them. Oh and my TD is in the house, now, too. My kitchen now 'works' - it didn't before.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I've given up on wooden pegs. They grew mould and started marking things, so I emigrated to plastic some years ago. I thought I was the only person who found herself thinking if it would look nicer if they matched every time I pegged stuff out.
Thanks for the list last week Dusty and this week Natty. Kitchen, stairs, the shower room, bedmaking and dusting in two bedrooms for me today, as we have two arrivals this afternoon.Better is good enough.0
