Washing up done - Oh I miss my DW. WM on. Dining table now visible (sort of) under paperwork. I've wiped the bits I can get to. Now waiting in for the dreaded 'between 7am and 7pm' delivery. My NEW SC. Yayyyyyy. Depending on arrival time dinner will either be slow cooked roast chicken with all the trimmings, or Quick cook Thai Prawn curry.

Need to go stationery shopping today. I have to kit out another office now I'm working in both Birmingham and home. Also work out how I keep client files in the right place for working on. The logistics are a nightmare. Thank God for laptops.

Mopping floors will have to wait. DH has been living here since November, and he still doesn't have a mop. The kitchen floor is minging.

OK off to put together some IKEA flat pack. I currently have no where to put any of my bits.

Positive note. Our area of Birmingham has lots of green bits so Ozzie isn't too homesick.

My update. I've removed things that don't apply & crossed through what I've done. I've also hoovered/swept/mopped through house this morning and have second and last lot of washing in the machine.

Marvellous Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Sweep and mop floors[/STRIKE]
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean out the cupboard full of pasta and packets and pickles..
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
[STRIKE]Check those filters and drawers for ickiness, gackiness and fluff!![/STRIKE]
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
[STRIKE]Clean oven if it really needs it.. or just do the hob or a knob!!.. mines gross.. you need to shame me into cleaning it![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET[/STRIKE]

Paid stuff now but DH on split shift so I may get more done tonight, have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Please count me in again, I cheated a lot last week and dumped all the rubbish in cupboards, it does mean that the rest is looking a lot cleaner, now I just need to focus on decluttering so that it looks like this all the time. I get really annoyed with myself as I know a lot of what we are keeping is rubbish, but I am a hoarder and cannot bear to throw anything away, I guess I should be grateful most of it fits into cupboards.
  • Morning all,

Thanks for the list Natty, I'm in again this week :)
  • Morning! Just off out to look round sunny Oxford - bright blue sky looks lovely but it is chilly! Flying wise I have made the bed in my T'lodge room!

    Have a good day xx

  • Niece and nephew here now but everyone is playing nicely (at the moment!!) so I'll make the most of it and do a HHC.

    Anyone else in?

Will pop back and post a list with lots of items crossed off (hopefully)!

    Hi everyone,
    I'm in this week.
Never managed much flying last week but as have a visitor at weekend would like to have everything gleaming by then. Also getting kitchen painted later this week (regretting idea now) so the clutter has to be gone.

WM on and keeping fingers crossed it keeps dry so I can get it hung outside, sad but it's one of my pleasures in life drying washing outside.

I'm the same! I suffer with hayfever (not really bad) but I love getting into a freshly made bed when the bedding has been dried outside :D

As it was lovely sunny I had a really busy and productive weekend keeping up with the daily stuff and getting the garden a little tidier and ready for spring; I also hoovered out the car which hasn't been done for months so was in a terrible state

Sunny here again today, I hope it lasts as it's half term here. Anyway, DW and WM on, S&S bathroom and kitchen. DD1 is going out with friends to cinema later and DD2's friend is here for the day and to sleepover and they're playing nicely :)

I need to have a look at the list and pack a picnic so we can go out for most of the day. You can't beat visits to local parks with a picnic and a flask to ensure everyone has a great time for free :D My plan is to wear DD and friend out (they're both 11) so they're not awake all night giggling and gossiping ;)

Not sure how flying might go this week; will keep up with dailies but probably only level one and maybe two...

    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floors
[STRIKE]Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there![/STRIKE] - Did this on Saturday trying to find the awful smell in the fridge... it was the outer leaves of a cauliflower that were wet and going slimey  cut them off and the cauli was fine :)

    • Meal plan for the next week and make a shopping list... based on what you found in the freezer and those things that need using from weekly cupboard sweep.
Must get on.... have a good day all x
