  • Thank you Natty and Dusty!

Skint Breeder 5 reporting for duty Ma'am:p Please forgive my tardiness, the Skint Ritz has been mostly unoccupied this weekend!

Plus flying has been minimal due to having a major dose of CBA......stupid ESA assessment letter arrived on Friday and it took the last remaining wind out of my sails (not that I had much last week). Assessment is 6th March, but every time I think about it (more importantly who I am going to get to go with me!) I load myself up with another big boulder of CBA.

Quick catch up Friday afternoon drove to Canterbury for DD2 Open Day via the EX's / EX MIL house to drop off DD3 and DS, while DD2 and Skint Baby came with me to the T'Lodge.

Drive took forever, got to T'lodge and started flying in the Room immediately (nasty hairs in plughole :eek::eek:) "put the room to bed" went into Daisy the Cow mode - finally went to sleep at 6am - overslept til 9am (DD2 turned off my alarm without snoozing it, as I was soooooo dead to the world it didn't even register:rotfl::rotfl:
Quickly chucked everything in the car, checked out, drove 5 miles to the Park and Ride got to Uni just in time for the 11am lecture that DD2 really wanted to go to - then went and flaked out in the student restaurant for 3 hours while DD2 did her thing, went to the lecture on accommodation, then started to drive back home picking up DD3 and DS en route. But DD3 informed me she was staying til Monday, so just took DS home instead.

Spent Sunday chewing a despair frog of toxic nature ready for Monday :( had to review notes and copy correspondence for my Sis on Dad's estate, and emailed her agenda to accomplish on Monday

Although DD3 on half term this week, DS has to pay half fee on school hols if he doesn't go in as its a private nursery with state funding for 15 hours. So after DS de-cluttered to nursery spent 2 hours procrastinating and muttering to myself about ESA and nit-picky email from my sister about the Estate, found just enough GUAG to have a shower and pick out something smart enough to go to the bank in my old stomping ground of TOWIE town, however I drew the line at slapping orange foundation on to blend in with the rest of the[STRIKE] Oompa Loompas[/STRIKE] Brentwood townsfolk :rotfl:, sold some shares by telephone for the Estate, bolted down the hatches!

DS extracted from nursery then 60 mile drive back to TOWIE town to collect my sister, spent 5 minutes in bank, then back to my childhood home to write and countersign cheques and correspondence to start settling debts on the estate.......very sore tongue from biting it very hard - the bedroom and ensuite I cared for my Dad in has not been cleaned since I was caring for him in Sept 2011.....I was thinking I should do HHC in here, but the paperwork was the reason I came down.

Drove to EX's picked up DD3, was going to pop into Ike@ to buy some blinds for kitchen to stop nosey neighbours peering in, but called an abort on Ike@ as too wrecked. So deferring that mission til Friday when I have to go back to TOWIE town to get more paperwork sorted :(

Came in about 9pm, resisted the urge for takeaway....toast and Mr T's 12p rice pudding very MSE :money: put DW on, had a S&S then back on Daisy Duty.

Skint Baby has made up for an errantic weekend and is now fully stuffed and in her basket....time for some kip, and flying will resume later this morning, when I will have something to cross of properly with a bit of luck :D

see you in a bit
The cold never bothered me anyway
  • my two penneth on pegs and line drying....living on the coastal backwaters there always seems to be moisture in the air.

I have my whirligig up permanently as it takes forever to put it up and down, the pegs are always on the line except for when DD's have been asked to bring washing in (in which case they can be found in the grass scattered indiscriminately) mixture of plastic and wooden ones. I don't colour co-ordinate my pegs (but maybe I should, sounds like a good excuse to buy some more pegs!)

The most important thing on my washing line is an old oven glove that is in permanent residence. A quick squeeze to see how damp the glove is, as I pass on the way to the utility gives me an idea if it is worth spending the time pegging out or just worth chucking in the TD and using the pegging out time for something else instead.

Nothing worse than pegging out and coming back hours later to find it is just as damp as when you pegged out

Right, definitely going now...will be back for a lurk later ;)

My oh my Skinty I'm exhausted just reading all that - do you never stop.

Up early as I have Governor frogs to chew, spit, chew and swallow so really should crack on with it.

WM on and maiden emptied from last night's airing. Hoping to get another lot dry on the line today.

Flying plan is to dust our bedroom/DS2's room and hall/stairs/landing at some point during the day.

    DS2 to orthodentist this morning
DS3 hopefully to cinema and shooting if his friend is well enough
May need petrol as these are in different directions from each other

    Morning everyone.

Just a quick catch up before I get up for work.

Dailies done yesterday and level one of the kitchen. Glad I had done some stuff in the morning as had very little water pressure last night. Sorted by nine so I could have my shower.

At work till 3.30 then at the doctors so will get something done tonight. I like that phrase put the house to bed. Done this for years and it is nice to get up to a tidy house.

Hugs sticks and spoons where needed.

    Bossy What a lovely photo.

    Lost a post last night

Hope you are ok opti-mum x

Ds1 posted a message last night saying that although he hated skiing in the morning now he loved it and wanted to go on the big mountain. Eek & double eek. At least he is enjoying it now. This time difference is very tiring. I stay up hoping to hear from him.

Ds2 is bored. I'm taking him to the cinema about 10.30.

    Wm is on

Time to get up and at 'em. It's s&s time.

To make your heart sing old flyers:

Ed update: It was a year in January that Ed had his accident and I'm sure you will all remember those dark days when you so kindly sent out love to a family you had never met. Well you helped ladies, Ed has been discharged from hospital and the best bit, he walked out. There is still a road to travel but his progress has been fantastic and I thank you all for the wishes you sent.
