Flight delay compensation, all other EU airlines

Customer of Titan Airways; concerning Flight Number ZT8992.
This flight was due to leave Akureyri at 11:30, however we did not depart until 16:30.
Furthermore, whilst in the air, the customers of this flight were told we would need to land in Glasgow; not our destination airport Cardiff. This added extra hours onto an already greatly delayed route. The flight from Glasgow to Cardiff was an unscheduled route that does not exist, as we changed aircraft at the airport to an unmarked carrier.
We eventually touched down in Cardiff at 21.35 on 31/12/18, our estimated time of arrival had been 14.20.
Have raised the case with Titan and they are citing adverse weather conditions due to snow, even though two flights landed in and departed from the airport for Reykjavik during the time we were delayed.
Where can I go from this point?0 -
Two options spring to mind. File a money claim online or hand it over to a no-win-no-fee firm such as Bott (free but they take a percentage of your compensation should you be awarded any). Check you flight on euclaim.co.uk. If they say you have a claim that's a strong indication you will succed in the end.0

EU Claim says there is no claim, so weather may have been a genuine reason. The fact that other domestic flights were able to operate does not mean that the weather did not affect your flight. Was the plane on the ground or was its arrival delayed so that it could not have taken off any earlier? If there was a delay by air traffic control who advised that landing or take off was not possible due to the weather conditions, it seems from a Court of Appeal decision reported last week, that the airline has a defence for both the outbound flight affected by the weather-related issue and the subsequent return flight which was delayed as a result0

My Aer Lingus flight was cancelled when I was travelling to run the Chicago marathon in Oct 2018. I've successfully claimed compensation under EU rule 261/2004 but I've been unable to reclaim my lost night in Chicago hotel and reclaim the cost of the marathon (which was not cheap!) from either my insurance or from the airline. Has anyone else had a successful claim from Aer Lingus for anything other than the EU required compensation? They have closed my case but I am still persisting. Thanks.0

consequential losses would be claimed on your travel insurance - what reason have they given for refusing? (does the wording of the policy imply that it should be covered?)
how do the costs lost compare to the EU compensation?0 -
I can't easily see how to start a new thread. I just called to confirm flights tomorrow, 27th Feb, to Rome with BlueAir to find my return flight on 4th March has been cancelled. I can't find any other flight back into Liverpool on Monday but am still searching. The one price quoted so far is to Manchester, and more than the return flight BlueAir had booked me for. What are my rights here? Are they liable to pick up the full fair of my re-routed return and if not why not? I have booked car parks plus car hire as well so I lose a lot if I cancel! :-(0

I am sure long term users of this forum are sick of this subject but I am completely at a loss as to what to do next.
After almost 6 months of chasing Iberia through Resolver and involving AESA, in December I was contacted by Iberia asking for my bank details so they could send me the compensation for my cancelled flight. I sent these to them by return and have been continually chasing but I have received no money and absolutely no reply. Any suggestions please?0 -
Send NBA/LBA, give them 2 weeks then start MCOL process. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
