Why Is There Not Much Help For Binge Eating Disorder (and if there is, where is it?)

Hi Jox,
I understand what you meant about microwaving not being healthy, but the quicker and easier it is for me to get a meal together, the less likely I am to binge so that will be my first step.
Perhaps in time I will move onto other cooking methods

Nothing wrong with microwaving IMO, it's easy to lightly steam food instead of boiling all the nutrients out. And so much less frustrating that a solid plate electric hob.
Hemp seeds yes as they are nutrient dense wholefoods. Hemp oil ideally not: all the minerals, vitamins, fibre and protein are lost, the fats are not strong enough to stand alone. The 'perfect ratio' is a marketing trick, as a nation we don't need to supplement with oils with an allegedly 'perfect ratio' we need more omega-3s. Omega-9s (monounsaturates, healthy but not essential, found in olives, avocado and many nuts) and omega-6s are ubiquitous in our diet anyway. It's disingenous to claim short chain omega-3s as a good sub for long chain, they are not the conversion rate can be as low as 10%. Add that to excess dietary omega-6s inhibiting the conversion ... IMO the benefit of most nuts and seeds is the broad range of nutrients they supply.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

Does anybody know the best place to buy nuts/seeds?
That's because they are full of sugar. Much higher, by weight, than fresh fruit because all the water has been removed e.g. a dozen grapes = a dozen sultanas. BTW grapes are the highest in sugar of any fruit, including bananas.

cereal bars have lots of added white sugar - the stuff many professors have called poison, it has ZERO nutritional value or vitamins as its been refined so much, it shouldn't even be classed as a food. It causes diabetes, high blood pressure, fuels cancer, causes tooth decay, it is really nasty for the body!!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I had been making my own cereal bars with oats, fruit, sunflower seeds, butter and honey...i know the other ones are shocking! Although I did go through a phase of believing they were healthy!!0 -

Great link, thanks. :T Good to see by weight, too many charts are by US cups which is not a fair comparison.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Good morning all!
Hope everyone has a good day. I have had a broken night sleep wise again so definitely like Uncle Fester today. Feel like I zombie.
Tiredness is usually a trigger for me so am trying to be mindful of this. Also going to go do my run later. Really finding it hard to motivate myself for that but the sun's shining so should be pleasant!0 -
Morning oopsadaisy, have a good day and enjoy the run! Have a nice breakfast and hope you get a better sleep tonight!0

Dried fruit does have a fair bit of sugar...but still better than cakes or biscuits if you're really craving sweet stuff, just be careful to buy unsweetened (or dry your own if you're really adventurous!).
Does anyone know if it's easy to make jerky or biltong at home?
