Webitha - Of course your looking better :)

I'm just back from the gym. Did 1/2 mile run in 5 mins for warm up and then 8.6Kms (just over 5 miles) on CT. Got 1 1/2 hours of 5-a-side tonight...Fingers crossed I don't get injured again!! ;)

Ok, so i've been doing weights whilst standing/sitting/laying on the floor, but I was able to get my arms far enough behind me to do bench press type things.. I didn't want to spend any money either.. as that generally means I won't use whatever I have purchased!

So..... I made my own.. I use the living room table to lay on, a dining room table chair for my head and shoulders and that means I can bench press my hand weights and do the sideway weights, arms hanging to the side and then up together above me.. It worked a treat, my arms are like jelly now :D and it took much less time to get them like that than normal. Really felt the difference aswell..

How is the press up building going? I have snooped around and found a couple of links for you as I am kind like that
http://www.netfit.co.uk/press_up_circuits.htm This shows you the different technique of press ups and if you try them all there is maybe scope for you using the easier ones to start with ;)
http://hundredpushups.com/ And this is a pressup programme for 100  pressups, you see it really is not that hard it is just practise :p
Another bit of advice if you have a bath that you can lean on in the press up position at the end then you could start there as you are elevated so less weight on your shoulders hence easier to build on with regards to doing full ones, you could be doing 30 pressups a time easy in a couple of weeks ;)
Anyway hope this helps, and is good for anyone that wants to either sign up to the forces as they love thier pressups or anyone that just wants to build thier upper body strength

I havn't tried a press up in a few days now, I'm still working on the muscles, so I don't want to get disheartened.. I'm doing the girly ones though, and I can do 30 of them in one go now.. Been really working with the weights on my upper body, so it's only a matter of time I guess. :)

Thanks for the links, I'm gonna have a look at them now :)
