Anyway have joined weight watchers and am doing 30mins exercise bike every day anything else i can do i need to loose 1stone.
This is my 3rd baby, weight fell off with no1/ had bad pnd with no2 so made myself ill weight came off/ but this time its just not going:o

Hiya parellel universe. Thank you formyour kind offer.
I am about 3 stone overweight and very unfit!
I need to start doing some excercise, however dont have too much money and also suffer with asthma which is also triggered by exertion (I cannnot walk up more than 2 flights of stairs without getting breathless). I love swimming, however the humidity in the swimming pool starts my asthma off.
I am put off excercising due to getting breathless too quickly which then makes the experience far too painful.
Im fine walking (aslong as their are no hills / stairs!)
Any suggestions ?Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -
Hi there taggiesgirl - yes you will be able to lose the weight don't panic
How are things going with WW? That should take care of most of the weight loss, and it's great you are doing 30 mins of cardio a day. How about doing some weights as well and sit ups? This will really help to tone you, as well as increasing your muscle mass (which will help you lose weight as the more muscle you carry, the higher your metabolism). Don't worry - you wont bulk up that's virtually impossible for a woman to do!
Have you also though about taking up something like jogging, assuming you are free of injuries?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 492 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0 -

Hi there! Do you have any other health problems (such as any joint problems) or is it just the asthma that holds you back? If not, then I think gradually building up your exercise with a complete beginners jogging program should help your weight loss. If you PM me with your email address I will send you an 8 week plan to get you going.
What is your diet like? As long as you are eating 3 healthy meals a day, drinking 2l of water and having fruit and veg as snacks and cutting out "bad snacks" such as chocolate, crisps etc and alcohol you should be able to lose 1-2lb a week with the exercise.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 492 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0 -
Hiya
thank you so much for your help. No other problems at all health wise.
Ill PM you my email addy now.
I try to eat healthily, have cereal for brekkie, jacket spud with tuna and salad for lunch and say pasta or chicken and something for tea. Thats a typical day I suppose.
I eat a lot of fruit however I dont drink as much water as I should. My downfall is chocolate!
I have lost about a stone just with diet alone but of course thats now not working as excercise needs to be done too.

Good luck with it - and if you need to repeat a week until you can do it all then that's not as problem - it's not a race!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 492 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0 -
I was going to ask if you could repeat a week if you were not "up to speed" as such!
Thanks againBaby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -

Hiya, you can't spot reduce fat I'm afraid - the only thing you can do is gradually lose it all over through exercise and a healthy diet. Exercises such as sit ups, squats, lunges etc will help to tone muscles and will mean the muscles are more defined so that when you do lose the weight you will see them more clearly!
Exercises such as power walking, jogging, swiming, cycling etc are excellent for reducing body fat. Good luckOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 492 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0
