    Hi Suzy

The best thing you can do to help your weight loss is to get exercising 4-5 times a week, for 30 minutes. You can break this down to 2 x 15 min sessions if you like.

The abtrainer will help to tone your mid-section but you wont see the results so well until the weight comes off. The only way to lose the fat around your middle is to burn it off through exercise such as your elliptical trainer, walking, swimming, cycling, jogging etc.

Hope that helps! Best of luck :j

    Hey Viks!

Well, the best thing to do is...something you enjoy!!! You have to pick an exercise you enjoy or you will never stick to it ;)

How about starting to jog? Can you swim? Walking, cycling? How about joining a local dance class, or martial arts group? There is always the local gym too - if you don't want to join (they can be pricey!) there may be classes you can take part in and just pay as you go such as spinning, body combat, circuit training and so on...

As long as you do something that make you sweat 4-5 times a week, about 30 minutes, you are not going to go wrong :)

Hiya, you can't spot reduce fat I'm afraid - the only thing you can do is gradually lose it all over through exercise and a healthy diet. Exercises such as sit ups, squats, lunges etc will help to tone muscles and will mean the muscles are more defined so that when you do lose the weight you will see them more clearly!

Exercises such as power walking, jogging, swiming, cycling etc are excellent for reducing body fat. Good luck :)

OK, ive decided im going to start cycling with hubby.....the only problem is my son, he is 4 and he is at home so not sure what to do with him lol.....

    Hi PU

Just wanted to ask - I suffer from depression and have heard that excercise is great is helping with this illness. I did start running before I was hit with a bad bout of depression. I am now feeling much better and want to start running again. How would you suggest I start doing this again. I was doing 1 min run 1 min walk and work my way up to 5 mins run 2 mins walk but then stopped.

Any advise would be great - thank you.

Hi Karrie, exercise has been proven to help with depression due to the "feel good" hormones it releases plus more besides. If you PM me with your email address I'll send you my beginners running program to get you started :)
