Ive been working today so gonna try and get on the exercise bike tonight, nothing too strenous though as Im not feeling great.

Its great to see how motivated other people are. I have one friend that goes to aerobics with me once a week and really no other close friends that bother exercising. They all think Im nuts for working out!
So this is a great thread for me. Thanks guys and girls.

I know what you mean.. I go badminton with my brother - in - law but that's it really, no-one else to do stuff with.. The OH isn't really into sports, so that rules him out.. although he said he will come and play squash with me  that shud be fun :)

    Well done today folks :T

Sorry I don't have time to catch up and comment on everything this evening. I did 750 metre swim, 20km bike ride and 5km run in succession. Got soaked in the rain but apart from that it all went very well, no problems at all!

Really pleased with it as a first attempt at something like that, but to be totally honest it didn't take me out of my comfort zone and I now know I'm up for more of a challenge... ;)

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :D

It just shows we can do more than we think when we put our minds to it.. I just need to get that across to my lazy body now :o

50 lengths in an hour is great! You have to be a good swimmer to be able to do 50 in one session :D

I started getting properly fit just over a year ago, but I've always swum and cycled. I am very new to running, went out once in May but only really started this month. I started thinking about triathlons probably only about 10 days ago :rotfl:

I started to run in April this year, my first run I went out and done 4 mile.....next day I could hardly walk. Not a good thing for me to do really but Im my own worse enemy as I tell myself the further I go the better but i know thats not right as you dont always get the quality there.
After that I ran 2 miles then 3 miles and a couple of days ago I ran just 1 mile and done it reasonably quickish.

So I think I should rethink my runs and start again from scratch as sometimes I run easily and another time I struggle.......muscles get real tired....Im not out of breath but legs feel like lead weights.

Do you think I should do short fast bursts?

Meant to say there are always triathlons advertised in the Women's fitness magazine for different levels of fitness if you fancied doing it.

I think 64 lengths is a mile :) if you want something to aim for

First run 4 miles! sheeesh! I went out last night and did 0.32 and nearly died! Oh my god, I'm so unfit!
