Well done G-G! Next time you might be able to do a little more, then more again, and it will soon build up!

    It does get easier! :)

    Thanks guys! :D

I'm so glad i've started.. It definately is the hardest bit.. :o

Just been out for a 2.5 mile walk with my dogs.. I'm shattered! Too much uphill  & I think i'm still tired from last nights run.. :o

I wrote out an exercise plan for the next 3 days.. Today is a legs & tum day.. Tomorrow a Cardio day, and Sunday an arms & chest day.. Going to mix in small bursts of cardio and general dog walking everyday.. :)

I think I am concentrating too much on my arms, so this is why i've set out a plan.. Also, I think I was exercising the same muscle groups two days in a row, and so they arn't getting a chance to heal.. :undecided

    How is everyone else today?

    Morning all...

Had a rest day yesterday, as footy was cancelled and I was feeling a little bit knackered after my cycle on weds...Sadly today's a rest day, too....but gonna be plotting a route for cycling tomorrow...gonna do as much as we can, hopefully toward the 50-60 mile mark this time...

    What's everyone else doing today?

oooo erm.. not sure my dear..

If I was chosing a gym I would think of the following:

    1) proximity to home
    2) monthly cost
    3) does it have a swimming pool
    4) does it have classes
    5) tie in contract?

Apart from that, ring them up and get a tour :D you might find that one is much nicer than the other.. and as you need to be in there for a few hours a week, then you want the one that you like the best

    Don't know how I'll do it - we'll see if I manage :)

When we did 25 the other night, we did something like the first 10 miles onroad, then 12 off road, then the last 3 back on again. That took around 2 and a half hours, but there were 2 or 3 *evil* miles in the middle that slowed us down...we'll aim for something like that composition of ride again, I guess - the road cycling, whilst kinda dull, is good for getting some distance under your belt, then the off road stuff is slower but more fun.

Generally, for regular trail riding, I think it's reasonable to average around 10mph, something like that - so if we leave at 10ish in the morning, have some lunch out, get back at 6ish - hopefully we'll cover that sort of distance.

We'll see how we get on, anyway :)
