Not having a dig by the way just interested for my nosey peace of mindYou see I work as a lorry driver and install heavy machinery and average around 65 hours a week and that makes finding time and energy to work out very hard to do
I always catch up on your posts and see you have an interest with the Forces good on you I had a short stint in Grenadier Guards till MD'd. Good luck with that and one thing I notice is you saying you wont run yet till you're fitter but really running is the best way of boosting your fitness levels up. Especially as during training you will spend a lot of time running and walking everywhere, I think you should have more confidence in yourself and just go for it even if it is once a week to startIt will get easier and the more you can run before you go the easier you will find training trust me! Fartlek training is especially good to start with before you build up to the 1.5 mile in under 1 mins(google it) Oh and one more thing, I have honestly never come across anyone that couldn't do one press-up and with the inevitable beastings that will come your way I suggest you keep on practising them as that is a favourite of the training staff when your troop make mistakes
My very own stalker! How delightful:rotfl:
I don't work very hard, put it that way.. I work from home on my own little business, and help OH with his business aswell, apart from that I get to do whatever I want.. sounds great I know, but I get soooo bored! I'm really into sports and stuff, but OH isn't, so I have to try and do as much as I can.. well, now that I want to get fit i'm doing more than ever..!
As for the press ups!God, i'm so crap at them! I dunno what is wrong with me! I did break my left wrist a few years ago, but I don't think it's that.. I've just not got any muscles it seems!
I'm getting there though, so I hope to report on how well i'm doing soon enough
The jogging! I've decided to start going around the block! :undecided: but I can't stand the thought.. I know once I get into it then it will be fine and I will probably enjoy it.. but just the thought makes me feel tired! I should have kept up with it when I was jogging every other day last year.. I got quite goodBSC Member 155

As for the inevitalbe beastings - This the RAF your joining not the Army. The RAF don't get beasted on the whole, so I wouldn't worry too much.

As you've not got any muscles, you actually have quite a good chance to start growing all of them at once...when you're practicing your press ups, do one set with your hands far apart, then another one with them directly beneath your shoulders, then a final one with them really close together...
You'll find that most people can do the middle ones, but struggle horribly with either of the others - if you learn to do them all at the same time, you can be superlady! (oh, and have better tone etc too)

I like the idea of being superlady
I'll give that a go..
As I can't do a proper press up yet, should I get into position and just go down as far as I can without my arms collapsing? Or would this do damage?BSC Member 155
