It's just a personal challenge I've set myself: 750 metre swim, 20km cycling, 5km run one after the other. Never attempted that before, my target is just to complete it without stopping (aiming to keep the two changeovers to less than 10 mins each).
If it goes well I would like to eventually double those distances, but that's a way off yet!
Anybody on here ever done similar?0 -
That sounds really good missyg..
i'm sure you will do it, you sound like a determined person
I'm running a bath now to try and limit the aching tomorrow! :undecided: :laugh:BSC Member 155

Im back!
The footie was cancelled yesterday:( I thought about hitting the gym but 5 times in too days would put me off!! Therefore, I just chilled:)
Went this morning though. Did back weights and 30 mins cardio. 15 mins run and 15 mins CT.
How's everyone today?John

Morning all!
Well I did 25.5 miles mountain biking last night...good fun, although a couple of the "bridleways" on my OS map were actually just plough fields - my poor bottom might never be the same...
Hoping to play 5-a-side again tonight, but it's been kinda hit-or-miss whether we get enough people lately, so might have to do a run instead - probably 3.5miles or something...not done any decent distance since last friday now...0 -

Oh my god! I feel your pain! I was on fields and stony paths yesterday, my bum is in a lot of pain !
Morning everyone!
I'm pretty tired today! I think i've been overdoing my diet aswell, I've lost 6lbs this week! Going to get a little more food in today as I don't want to start losing muscle over fat..
Going to give the mountain bike a miss today, I don't think I could sit on the saddle  - I got a skipping rope yesterday, so I'm gonna go into the garden and jump around on that for a whileIt's like being a kid again! All I need is one of those massive trampolines and I will be 10yrs old again
So, my plan is skipping, weights, and i'm going to ring the swimming pool and see what sessions they have on today :A
Enjoy your rest day missyg! & I'll be making sure you don't do anymore than 30 mins! :A
John, footy cancelled?! nightmare! Hope you are going gym at lunchtime!

That's amazing, I have to say - at least you're seeing some results from your efforts!
I've been exercising pretty heavily for two weeks now, cut out all snacks, all fizzy drinks, all beer - and have lost NOTHING.
And you should look into getting a trampoline - brilliant exercise0 -

Thanks buddyI just want to make sure I stick to my plan, if I overdo it I may go off course, so losing 6lbs is quite scary, but it's cool because I want to lose some weight
I have been pretty good with my diet, so I guess that's why..
It just shows how diet and exercise does work though if you have the willpower to stick at it.
Maybe you are gaining more muscle than I am? Muscle weighs more than fat, have you noticed a change in your shape at all?
I saw one of those mini trampolines, but i'd want one of the massive ones with the netting around it, as I would no doubt go flying all over the placeI could even practice my snowboard spins on it! :rotfl:

No, no change in my shape...I expect I'm gaining muscle though, maybe. I don't know what it is, I just don't think it's possible for me to lose weight - I've only lost weight once in my life that I can recall- and that's when I was in a coma for a few days. When I stop exercising again I'll pile on the pounds though - that's no problem.
My gf has a proper 10 foot trampoline (with net) in her garden, joking aside, bouncing on that for half an hour works up a hell of a sweat and *destroys* my abs...
You know it makes sense0 -
Haha - stop it! you're tempting me! :rotfl: Dunno where I would put one actually
unless I knocked down the conservatory
Maybe you should write down all your intake and let us have a look(and no, i'm not nosey, honest
)
