Just back from gym and fed and watered!
I didn't go running (again) due to my toe. Instead I did 7.58Km on the cross trainer - 35 mins.
Knackered now - Roll on bedtime:)
I actually fell asleep earlier but I didn't even do anything much today
I have got to go gym tomorrow!
It's £35 for the year, then £5 per visit thereafter, sounds ok to me..
I planned a 1.5mile route with the MapMyRun site and it's a hell of a lot further than I thought..I'm not feeling good about it.. I think i'm going to have to train on a treadmill first..

When I was trying to get protein into my diet, used to have a tuna pasta salad with kidney beans - washed down with a slimfast shake...
Anyways, todays plan is for a 20-30mile mountain bike ride this evening...
Just about survived footy yesterday, although I had the most painful stitch toward the end....not had stitch in years, it was really weird...I blame the peanuts I ate beforehand (I was starving and they were the only thing in my desk drawer..)0 -

I reckon protein shakes are the way to go if you are serious about your protein intake. They reckon that 'whey' protein is better for everyday use than the 'casein' variety. Whey protein is absorbed into your system quicker and therefore is best used bafore/after a workout. In fact it has been mooted that the best time to take your protein is before your workout. The optimal protein window closes 20 minutes after your workout. As casein protein is broken down slower by your system, it is ideal to take before bed to slow release protein overnight.John

I'm having a random Slim Fast shake for breakfast that I found in the fridge.. It's an effort to get more protein in and less carbs.. It's actually quite nice!
Lost 4lbs now, which is going to help me exercise I hope.. Although, a few more pounds would be even nicer!
Gonna stop messing about today, all of you are putting me to shame!
Going to plan a 5mile mountain bike ride.. and this afternoon i'm gonna go and do it!
I keep thinking about going to the gym etc, but i've got a decent mountain bike in the garage I should use, and it's free exercise! Oh, and I know I will push myself 10 x harder during 'real' exercise!BSC Member 155

Drag yourself off here and go for a cycle
I missed my gym session this morning as I am sore. That said, I seem to be loosening up and will be off for 45mins cardio at 11 and then 1 1/2 hours of footie at 1630.
It's the weekend that worries me. The temptation to 'signify' that it's the weekend with a few beers and bottle of wine!
I must resisttttttttttt............John
