    (only joking......x)

I have one X Chromosome so I'm staying.

I can't believe though that you have to work 2 jobs and take care of the kids (and no doubt do the housework and cooking), while he earns such a huge wedge. Christ, it's like something out of Dickens!

(Sorry, ladies, but I'm outraged and so the language might get a little blue in a minute..)

I seriously believe that if anyone should be angry it's you! I'd tell him that because of his tightness you've had to get into debt and work 2 jobs in order to make ends meet and that you're not going to put up with it any longer. Either he changes, or you're off.

Your OH doesn't sound like a particularly nice person!

I have been in a controlling and suffocating relationship and it didnt end well. Be really careful how you handle things as bullys and control freaks do not like surprises.

If I were you I would say to him it is about time we discuss our finances. Ask him for some of the money he seems to owe you for your wedding. It isn't fair that he can earn so much and you have to work two jobs and so dont get to spend as much time as you would no doubt like to with the children.

He should want what is best for you as a family unit and that isn't you working like a slave to survive and meaning you dont get to spend enough time with the children.

I always thought marriage was supposed to be about sharing things so you can combine all your skills so everyone gets the best. Well I am sorry but it doesnt seem to be like that for you. If he knows about your financial position you should know about his and imho when you get married and have kids, finances should in some way be shared.

Good luck with whatever you decide, I hope it goes well but if not try Relate and let him know he is being unreasonable.

    Big hug from me!

  • Hi Hannahsmummy

after reading your posts, I just had to say good luck for tonight. whether we think you should be with your OH or not, it is only you who can decide to stay or go.

i think if you can show all that youve done to pay off your debt so far, and show where the money went in the first place, he should understand better. Remember, it was his wedding too!

I will be thinking of you tonight.
