Thanks for the update hannahsmummy - the first thing I did today was log on to MSE to see how it went last night, and I am glad to know that you were able to talk a little - calmly.
I also wonder why your hubby only has £100 per week to live on. But maybe that will be something you talk about today. Keep talking.
And it is OK to get upset and cry ... this has been a huge stressor for you, and the tears will partly be from the relief.
Take care, and continue to let us know how it goes.Pennies make pounds.

Hi HM,
Well done on the big chat, I remember telling my family about my debts and the stress is enormous. I was such a relief to tell them even though there were tears and arguments on both sides.
The part about marriage is that part "For better or worse". I read the entire thread last night and it struck me that many people these days seem to not sure the responsibility of the household and finances. Im sure your both will get through this and it will make you stronger
Also this is a time for you to make your feelings absolutley clear to your OH about him not giving you any money since Novemeber as the house and the baby dont look after themselves (no sexism meant!!).
One last thing I would say is if you are worried that he is going to blow his top dont !!!!!foot round the subject ask him how he feels. even if it does instigate a argument it will better in the long run to clear the air. you have done the hardest part already. Time to look ahead to the future with the support of your husband

Hi HM so glad that it went ok.
It might be worth suggesting that NOW you do a joint income and expenditure. It is mad that you are paying interest of debts, whilst he has savings. I don't disagree that there should be an emergency fund. Martin usually suggests the equivalent of 3 months gross salary. But after that, paying off your debt would be a huge boost to you and your daughter. I am sure he can see that you being able to spend more time with her is far better for your household.
And a joint income and expenditure would include a more realistic contribution from him too.
You know what you want out of this, so stay strong and tell him

Hi HM
Im so glad it went better than expected - Im sure most things are like that, arent they? we worry so much - I suppose if you expect the worst, you are never disappointed, are you (well - you know what I mean?!)
When I logged on tonight, had to check your thread to make sure you were okay. You have done so well - I hope you have talked a bit more and sorted a few things out. You will feel like the weight has been taken from your shoulders!
