Hi everyone!
Will backtrack and read thread shortly but hugs to those who need them.
OH and I have enjoyed a bit of smug married time with the small person being away these last couple of days. Yesterday it was 17 years since we got together so to celebrate OH took me out to ......drumroll.....vote followed by a kebab. Woo hoo he knows how to treat a girl:rotfl: :rotfl: Actually I've never had a sheesh kebab before and thoroughly enjoyed it:D
OS today...linen/towel changing, dark load washed and hung out and floors washed. On the way home I want to pick up some Fray Check as I finished my dollshouse carpet last night:j and then it's off to Mr T for a smallish weekly shop.
Plans for the weekend are the quarterly trip to Lidl tomorrow following by seeing a friend for a cuppa at a local nature reserve. Sunday will be washing the small person's festering clothes he will have returned with and I need to do some baking..choc cruchies and an orange and coconut cake {Be-Ro} recipe. I also want to make some mustard and get the ironing done. Monday it's off down to Hastings for Jack in the Green and a bit of late Beltane celebrations. Should be fantastic!
Have a great weekend
Aril
Congratulations Moggins...lovely news!Aiming for a life of elegant frugality wearing a new-to-me silk shirt rather than one of hair!0 -

Not ignoring anyone else, but I've found I get booted out of long posts
Had my 3hrs exam this morning and I am simply pleased that it's now behind me - be weeks and weeks before I know if I've passed, but that's ok, next module begins next week, so I'll have plenty to keep my mind occupied.
Boys go away for the weekend so I'm going to use the opportunity to try out my new toy - whizz bang carpet cleaner :j "woohoo":j should be easier on the knees
Weather isn't looking too promising for a Bank Holiday weekend, but it's a good pocket of time to play catch up
Wishing you all a relaxing, stressfree Bank Holiday Weekend ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Good afternnon!
First of all :grouphug: Anniestar :grouphug: I know what it feels like to not feel in control of your emotions and I also know that nothing I can say will make it feel better right now, but we are all thinking of you and hope things pick up for you soon :A
Tinkerbell - regards lemon thyme, I once had lemon thyme creme brulee as a pudding at a restuarant and it was DIVINE :A possibly the best pudding I've ever had. I know that's not very helpful as I don't have a recipe but if you're a good cook, maybe you could experiment
Mrs-mix - don't feel too bad, I sometimes think its best to let kids (and adults) try and fight things off themselves, too many antibiotics aren't a good thing as your body gets used to them. She might feel awful know but maybe it will strengthen her immune system for the furture. As for the doctor, I wish they'd make up their minds! One minute they're telling us off for going to the doctors too often, then they tell you off for not going!
Aril - 'make some mustard'? How do you do that?
Queenie - fingers crossed for a great exam result, good luck with the rest!
I've finally given in and called the doctor myself this afternoon, been suffering with dizzy spells since last friday, they come and go but don't seem to be eased by sitting or lying down, very strangePlus, every now and then my teeth - all of them - hurt ALOT. Very weird! Waiting for the duty doctor to call me back. At first I thought it was down to coming off my antidepressants but that was a while ago and the dizziness isn't getting any better - everytime I move my head, I feel like I'm leaving it behind!:D Other than that, I don't actually feel ill at all, which is why I haven't called the doctor sooner. Checked my blood pressure at work today and it was 90/50 mmmm quite low. Low BP is normal for me - but not that low!
Anyway, enough about my weird and wonderful ailments, can anyone recommend a really good and really cheap breadmaker? I used to have a morphy Richards one but it was rubbish and I'm loath to buy another based on the bricks I used to get out of that one.:pOctober grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):
Asda - £11.98
Aldi - £10.36
Parking pot: £1.00 (everytime I walk into town instead of parking on pay and display, I put the money saved in a jar)0 -
Infact my teeth have just starting hurting again - ow, ow, ow!!!!October grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):

Hi – just popping in while I have a cuppa! I still haven’t done a sig, I must get round to it!
Just skimmed though the posts that went on while I was out collecting my fruit, veg and meat and making my arms two foot longer in the process! The usual car park that everyone uses in the village was full up with an enormous queue (this is what happens when you leave the shopping till after lunch!) So, I bypassed that one and went to the little one that no-one uses because it’s TOO FAR from the main shops. I thought ‘that’s OK, I won’t buy any really really heavy stuff.’ Wrong! The farm shop always tempts me so I was the one you may have seen who had to keep putting her bags down and changing arms! Anyway, all set for the dinner party tomorrow night – I say ‘party’ but it’s just four of us – and meals sort of planned for the rest of the week.
ANNIESTAR – I hope you’re feeling a bit brighter now? I thought the advice DANNAHAZ gave you was brilliant and you really should put yourself first and see your GP. (((hugs))) to you. I hope it all works out.
LADYGRIM - I must have missed a post! What’s a Bean apart from something that would go on a piece of toast?!
QUEENIE – glad your exam is over!
MRS MIX – don’t feel guilty; you only did what you thought best. No mother wants to go straight down to the doctor for a prescription every time their child is poorly. I’m a firm believer in trying to give it time before I ask for antibiotics. I hope she gets better very soon. (((hugs))) to her and you.
Any news from SMOKYBABE? She’s usually one of the first on here – it’s not the same without her.
Well, the sun is still shining and I’ve got three loads of washing dry. I just have to put it away. I still have some ironing but, as it’s a long weekend – YIPPEE – I may stretch it out over the three days. I’m going to tackle some paperwork now. Dinner tonight is sausages with mushrooms and onions, fried leftover potatoes and the rest of the salad from yesterday, but I know DH will want beans with his – he always does when it’s sausages! Pudding will just be some of the fresh pineapple I’ve just bought because I want to use the pineapple corer thingy I bought for 10p in the charity shop this week!
It’s great that we have another long weekend – let’s hope we all get good weather. Will catch up later – must start the paperwork again!

SAMSAM - I'm glad you've called the doctor. Sinusitis or bad catarrh can make you feel dizzy and can make ALL your teeth hurt. Have you had a cold lately? I've had sinusitis a couple of times; until I had it the first time I always thought it was just like a heavy cold but it's a horrible thing to have because it seems to affect everything you've got. Anyway, hopefully, you'll find out today. The only other thing I think it could be is YOU DO TOO MUCH!! Take it easy! Loved your idea about lemon thyme creme brulee - sounds lovely! Hope you feel better soon! (((hugs)))KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:
