Morning all.
Moggins, Congratulations on your new grandson!
Amie, Happy Birthday to your mum, I hope she feels better soon.
Newster, Welcome!
Well my plans for a relaxing afternoon on a deckchair yesterday didn’t happen. I just can’t seem to settle down in the sun like I used to. So instead I pottered and did a bit of gardening and cooking.
Thanks to Pen Pen’s suggestion we had quiche, baby potatoes, coleslaw and salad for tea and it was lovely. Thanks Penny for the idea.
Old Style so far today…
I’m awake.
I’m thinking about putting the breadmaker on (but haven’t got around to doing it)
The washing is done (but still needs to be hung on the line)
And that’s about it.
Today our youngest one is off on an exceptional closure day....which means I didn’t have to get up early to get him organised and take him to school, and also explains why I am so behind with the day.
I love having any one of them off from school on their own, so I’m hoping to spend a bit of time doing some more gardening and possibly some baking with him if it’s not too warm in the kitchen. He loves gardening and cooking so it should be fun for both of us. If there’s time I might take him out for a bike ride later and this afternoon he has football practice. After that I’m off to work and then it’s the Bank holiday weekend! :j
I hope you all have a good one.

Hi – just popping back in to read a few more posts while DH is at the dentist. He’s coming back for a coffee before he goes on site so I can’t really get on with anything until he’s actually gone for the day! And he’s taken my car as well but I don’t mind that because it needs petrol and I know he’ll do that for me! I did tell him it needs filling up – I’m not that cruel!
AMIE – so sorry your mum’s ill on her special day. Have pm’d you.
MOGGINS – many, many congratulations on becoming a grandma. I have a GS aged 7 and a GD aged 4 and they have brought me nothing but joy and pleasure – you’ll enjoy it SO much. (((hugs))) to Jon Daniel and his mum and dad.
CHARLIE’S MUM – hope you feel better after yesterday’s row on the phone! I know how you feel – you never think of the right cutting thing to say until it’s too late! p.s. you’ll love being a grandma when it’s your turn later this year! There’s nothing to compare with it!
DLB – your DS must be really excited now but I know you’ll worry – that’s what mums do!
CRAZY – glad your exFIL is able to enjoy his drink – it must help to ease the pain and relax him through all this. Your DD’s letter to the fairies sounds magical – I’m sure she’ll get a reply!
NITERIDER – Congrats on your wins! We’ve had one win in 30 years but it helps to know that ERNIE is still picking numbers out and hasn’t retired! We were beginning to wonder!
Welcome to NEWSTER – you’re in brilliant company and we look forward to getting to know you!
CATOWEN - my DS25YO was at his worst when he was hungry! He was really snappy until he’d had something to eat and then the change would be miraculous. DH is convinced he’s a modern-day Jekyll and Hyde! He lives with his GF now and she makes sure he doesn’t get to the point of starvation. Hope you ALL get more sleep tonight!
Well, it was a cool cloudy start but the sun is coming out now so I can hang the sheets and towels on the line and get hoovering and dusting, then off to the farm shop, when I get my car back, then back home to ironing (what’s new?) and paperwork (again, what’s new?)
Have a great morning.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Morning all, just a very quick one today. Hope everybody is well and happy. Haven't read the thread today but, hopefully will do later. Well, things are disintergrating here at a rate of knotts. DH is very poorly and VERY depressed. I seem to be falling apart have held everything together since the initial meningititus and so on but have spent lots of this week in (secrect)tears DH cant cope with how he feels without me heaping stuff on. Did a very detailed post on Tue spilling everything out to you and lost it!(cue 4 hours soibbing) Other things that have set me off include Sam Alladyce resigining from Bolton(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????) I just feel totally alone and have no where to turn. I am so tired. I know that I have missed loads of birthdays, anniversaryas and other significant stuf and for that I am truly sorry. Hope you all had a good time on your special days. Hugs to all including tired mum, kyle, twink, Pen-pin!!! Catowen how is the hair? Hope that you are feeling better by the way. I feel so worn out and that I just don't have the stamminia to see what to do anymore. Anyway, am off for a think, a coffee and a chat to the good people at the NUT. Have a great day gang. You are so special and I am lucky to have friends like you. A XXXBlind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

newster welcome
NiteRider - congratuations on your win, we had them for years and never won a thing
Crazychik, he seemed a little shocked, but I always help DP with our cars have done for many years now, done things on my own too like replacing water bottles, rebuilt an engine myself evenI did of course have to use a potty stool to reach it as once the cars on stands I am too little to reach, this was just a case of a pipe had popped off. Offered him some advice with it before he left aswell :rotfl: I've called the school this morning as the car had leaked fuel all over the car park, lost alomst 3/4 tank of fuel & with it being a special needs school the thought of a bus carrying kids there trying to brake on it and not being able to worried me. Hopefully caretaker has had time to do something about it.
Annie star, I don't know what to say honey, you're definately not alone, all of us are here if you need us, thinking of you and hope these not so good time and feelings pass soon..
Right, I suppose I should get a wriggle on, quite a bit to do and need to get DP up soon. Need to go to farm shop butchers aswell. Must do some studying, got a TMA due next week that I have barely even started, yikes!
Hugs to anyone who needs one, hope you all have a good dayOne day I might be more organised...........

Good morning chums ,or should it be afternoon. My time clock is all haywire as I only got back from America yesterday.I had a fabulous time and spent far too much and ate far too much as well. Fantasic place and people were very friendly although they have a tendancy to talk of our Queen as 'Queen Betty' !!and Harry as 'Prince Harry the third !.' But all things being equal I did have a good time .Saw some amazing sites and loved the Amish people Virginia was glorious as the trees were just coming out into bloom and the colours were mind-blowing. I am now back to reality and off to college this afternoon to learn about the vagueries of 19th century cemetaries ,Brookwood in particular. Cheery subjet to start back with but I expect I shall find it interesting if I don't nod off inbetween time .Anyone got a good recipe for jet-lag
Cheers folks, I did miss you all. I tried to get online at a library in the boondocks I could get the site up but it wouldn't let me post unfortunately.Still all back to normal now0
