Amie - Sorry to hear about your Mum, how disappointing for both of you (her without even realising it yet!) Couldn't you all go to her house instead? Or is that insensitive if she's ill? Maybe just go for a little while to all say hello and then leave if she's feeling terrible?0 -

I've got loads to sort out today (day off and need to sort lots out coz won't be able to do much over the weekend coz parents are up tomorrow and DDs have got dancing comp and b'day party on Sun). Some stuff I should have done yesterday.
So far today, I have done 2 loads of washing, had a shower, sorted kids out and packed them off to school (with fresh fruit salad in lb), made beds.
I need to:
sort out garage crap, sort out paperwork/debt and update sig, pump up car tyres, make the pies/pasties I should have made yesterday, sweep patio and find gardener, walk to pick DD's up.
Hope every1's OK and am sending big HUGS to all who need/want them and am gladly taking any on offer coz I feel like I could do with a hug today.

Morning all!
Aime, I'm really sorry to hear about your mum, what a terrible day for it to happen on. Why not say you'll pop over to see her at lunchtime anyway, and go with yoru sister. Even if she's unwell, I;m sure she'll appreciate that. And wait until you see how she feels later before cancelling tomorrow.
Congratulations Moggins xxx
Welcome Newster. I use the THANKS button to show that I have read and appreciated a post. As I normally post later in the day (than I am today) the acknowledgements get very long, and I end up not mentioning people. So I usually use the THANKS button IYSWIM
Cats are lolling about the house looking very sorry for themselves. They caught and ate a pigeon very early this morning, so I expect they aren't feeling too well. DH has just gone out to clear the debris from the back garden. Thank goodness they didn't drag it in the house!
Washing on, DW emptied, BM on (ciabatta today as we're having bolognese for dinner). Off to Waitrose shortly and then the gym on the way home.
Will wiat and see how the weather turns out. It'll either be back to the concrete face or a blitz through the house.
Have a good day everyone (and <hugs> again Aime)

Morning All
Dull morning here with a few spots of rain in the air, hope it brightens up later.
AMIE Happy birthday to your mum, sorry she’s not feeling well, I know how disappointed you are as I’ve had that happen to me before now. Keep your chin up.:grouphug:
Penny Pincher. Good luck with the essay, hope your feeling well enough to finnish it today so you can have a rest from it over the weekend.
Catowen Glad you have your garden furniture in plenty time for the summer, I can see you having lot’s of picnics in the garden with the LO’s. Bye the way I love my online shopping, even if you do have to pay for it to be delivered it’s worth not having the hassle. I just wish the delivery man would put it all away in the cupboards for me!!:D
Moggins Congratulations on being a granny.:j I love it. My GD is nearly 4 and she really does light up our lives. She is staying over tonight and has already told granddad he has to make breakfast in bed in the morning.(and guess what? He will!!).

Morning everybody :hello:
I don't, strictly speaking, have time to be on here this morning. But will survive the day at work much more easily if I have had my Old Style fix first!I got into the office early, intending to make a head start, and instead spent all the extra time trying to sort things out for other people
Congratulations to glamorous grandma moggins:j :j :j - you certainly don't look old enough to be a grandmother!!!
Happy birthday to your mum, AMIE399 - I hope she's feeling better soon and that things work out somehow ((hugs))
Not quite sure yet how things are panning out for the weekend. Tomorrow I've got a mystery shop to do, and I have also promised to go and see my mum either tomorrow or Sunday in her new (teeny tiny) house. As she has just moved in, I'm going to take her over a selection of HM soup (so as to run the freezer down quicker for when they give me a new one). Speaking of which, I have a fridge drawer full of rapidly over-ripening tomatoes and I need to make them into soup this evening. The problem is that I have forgotten to check I have all the ingredients - or rather, I know I DON'T have them all, but I can't remember what I'm meant to have! Could some kind OSer with the Lindsay Bareham soup book please tell me the ingredients list for CREAM OF TOMATO SOUP?
I'm also hoping to see more of my cousin after today - she's got a professional exam today (financial industry certification) for which she's been cramming for the past 3 weeks. After today, she will (in her words) "get her life back". I won't see her over the weekend as she is up visiting her mum. Her parents have, like my mum, recently moved away from the North-East (to set up a new business in Majorca!) but are back for the weekend.
Oh yes, I also found out that there's going to be a ceremony in July for the interment of my grandparents' ashes. Grandpa died in December 2001 and Grandma in November 2006, and they will now be interred together. They were inseparable when alive :A I'm not sure where this will be - am assuming Norfolk in the village where they spent their retirement. I would imagine it will be a lovely ceremony. The other nice thing about it is that my aunt, who I don't see often as she lives at the other side of the world, is not only going to be coming over for the event, but also will be staying with my cousin who lives near me. So I should get to spend some time with her :j :j
Right, now I really am running out of time. Best be off now. See you later!
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape
