    Morning everyone,

:bdaycake: Happy 70th birthday Amie's Mum

Well this turned out to be a busy week so I've not fully caught up with the daily for the last few days, so hugs/congratulations where appropriate until I can do it properly.

The good news - WM has been fixed and is on. I was getting desperate for all sorts of stuff, but especially towels and tea towels, there is a load of tea towels/dish cloths in as I type. Because my weight varies I've an assortment of stuff in my wardrobe for "feel slimmer" or "feel like an elephant" sort of days. I've gotten through the lot, so huge washing sessions this weekend - I don't want to think about the ironing though. icon9.gif

Coot chicks are looking all grown up these days and I think mum has started laying the next brood. Is she mad! There are now little families all along the canal, the mallard ducklings are also hatching, are they earlier than usual this year? Oh, and LCC/feisty is STILL making more noise than all the rest put together. The swan came by again last night - a respectful distance was kept by both of them. :D

I've an early start today so will catch up with you all later. Enjoy your day.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

morning to all!:j I love friday:D well, after 3.00 anyway which is when I finish work today!

Amie :bdaycake: Happy Birthday to your mum! Sounds like you have a lovely day planned for her

Pen-pin :grouphug: sorry you're not feling good, don't do too much today and good luck with the essay - what's the subject?

Uselesswith£ I'm hopeless with alcohol, gave it up for 6 months each time I've run the London Marathon and can't seem to build my tolerance levels up again although I have tried!:D Don't even really enjoy it anymore seen as one glass of wine tends to make me feel ill - oh well, at least it saves me some money! Hope you feel better later :grouphug:

Queenie, thanks for all the help yesterday :T

Tam Lin, sound like you've got a busy day ahead!

Tinkerbell, aren't you organised! I scribble my dinner plans in an old diary which I keep losing, your idea sounds much better :D

Catowen, enjoy the gardening, I use online shopping once a month and pick whchever one has the best offers for me. It stops me mooching around the supermarket going " ooo that looks nice" or "I'm sure I need one of those"! Then I get extras from the market on a sunday morning.

Taplady, keep up the good work with SW - its probably the best nutritionally balanced 'diet' out there at the moment and easier than some to stick to in the long term :T

If I've missed anyone out sorry and GOOD MORNING!:D

I've got to take my boyfriend horrible, smelly old banger to work today. My lovely car is going into the body shop after my friend reversed his van into it - LAST SUMMER! I wouldn't mid swapping cars but my OH"s has mould and moss growing in it! I visit some very posh houses and neighbourhoods as a personal trainer - they'll probably call the police when they see me driving through their estate in this car!;)

Must remember to get chicken out of freezer, put bolognese in the freezer and put recycling out before I go out. Plan for today is to walk my dog, do a bit of paperwork, go out to work at 9, get home at 3, maybe do some gardening if the weathers ok - looks a bit dodgy here at the mo - if not, I'll do some ironinga and watch a film :D Honey and mustard chicken with rice and green beans for dinner! yum yum

    Have a lovely day everyone!

    Morning all

Sorry I haven't read any posts, this is just a quick one to let you know that I became a grandma last night!!

Baby Jon Daniel was born at 10.40 last night after a 2 hour labour!! He is 6 weeks early but weighed in at 4lb 8ozs and is doing very well. He will be in special care for about 2 weeks. His mum is very impressed that she escaped without a single stitch and his dad is amazed that his mum finally did something quickly LOL.

I got home from the hospital at 4am after having a quick cuddle with my new grandson and now have to do the school run, go to work and then take my parents shopping! Think I may need matchsticks later.

Good morning every one. Haven't posted on this one before.

Same congrats and so forth as mentioned already.

Today I hope to get some cooking done ready for the weekend onslaught. Children seem to be forever hungry !!!!!??????

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I'm just trying to work out how this forum works. I notice that people thank others for their posts etc, but what is the add so and so to your buddy list thing ??? Sorry to seem a bit dumb. I only belong to one other forum and that one is a bit different to this one.

Have a good and proserous day today, everyone.

    Good Morning All

Just catching up with yeserday's news, didnt get the chance to come back on in the evening.

WM on again - very cloudy, so not sure if I dare risk to peg some out.

Lil-me - Well done you for helping the bloke out with his car! Did he blush, that a woman helped him! :rotfl: - Shame bout the neighbour being so obnoxious (sp) about the young lad and his suicide attempt. It doesn't matter who they are, they always leave a broken family behind!

Im still reading Danny's Challenge - has anyone found out if it was made into a real life drama on tv? Im convinced it was! Perhaps a couple of yrs ago around 2002/2003 time. Ive literally got half a dozen pages to finish, but my eyes were tired to finish it,

Will phone the ex again later ref update. I know his dad was sitting up, and drank half a can of beer/lager (from a baby's beaker) with exBIL last night. When his brother left, he said he was sound asleep and looked peacefull! Typical, he's always said, if he goes, he'll make sure he's got his drink supply inside him! Bless Him!!! He's not on any medication no more, so I guess this stage in his life, why not?

DD wrote a letter to the fairies, and asked them to come to her house to wake up her care bear, and make him come alive. She also said she will leave her window open and he's the one lying next to me, so please make him happy And he's got to be clever to do 10x10 sums, aswell as running & jumping. And to be quiet when he's told to do so! - Well what could I say to that. I praised her for her efforts with her spelling and handwriting.

HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY TO AMIE's MUM! - Sounds like your's and her's day will be eventfull.

    Off for a shower now.
    Catch you later
    Love Emma xxx

    congrats GRANDMA Moggins :j
