This to me speaks volumes with regards to your single status. If you are as funny and as articulate in real life as you are on here you sound "quite a catch" to me. You just need to find the opportunities to put yourself out there to be seen and heard. Maybe a few singles from the weekend will find the courage to ask you out, having found out you are single and available. Good luck.
Thanks, NAR! If anything this thread has been a good confidence booster. It is difficult knowing how we come across to others. I'm actually alot shyer than most people are aware of as I'm good at faking confidence and, maybe, this comes across as aloofness.
I had a really weird dream last night. Chris O Dowd was a priest and I was in a church - he gave me a double take, grabbed my hand and said, extremely seriously, "Have you ever thought about taking Holy Orders?"... I hope it's not a sign from the man upstairs. "Give up and become a nun, Miss Indie!"
I've got a headache.0 -

I'm come to the conclusion that wacky baccy isn't for you!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

Choirs are heavily female - I wouldn't bother joining them to meet men. (Do join them to sing though, singing's great!)
I hear fencing classes and sailing clubs are good places to meet interesting men.0 -

Yeah a few times, always get a straight "no". Always end up in the friend zone! I am disabled though, and while it doesn't bother me, it does me no favours with the ladies.0 -

Well there is a position vacant in the Vatican, I hear. Not sure it will present many matchmaking opportunities.... :rotfl:0 -
See no end to your funny stories - wish I was 30 years younger! :heartsmil
Tis always the way, NAR!Yeah a few times, always get a straight "no". Always end up in the friend zone! I am disabled though, and while it doesn't bother me, it does me no favours with the ladies.
That sucks. Good on you though for making a move. I genuinely think that with the right person, the disability won't be an issue at all. My childhood sweetheart (one of my favourite people in the world) suffers from terrible diabetes and as a result is losing his sight. I still love him to bits and, if he was interested in me, then his health problems wouldn't be an issue for me. I'm well used to diabetics (and complications of diabetes) and cared for a relative until she died last year so I'm not saying this lightly, I know what I'd be getting myself into but it's him, so it would be worth it. It's just stupid that girls won't even give you a chance.Well there is a position vacant in the Vatican, I hear. Not sure it will present many matchmaking opportunities.... :rotfl:
I think *I* could be the reason Pope Benedict has resigned. Maybe he saw me coming and knew I'd wreak havoc in a convent!0 -
