  • Hi guys im still pressing ahead with my claim against the Abbey using Money claim online regardless of the test case confusment!
Tomorrow (8th) would have been the 14th day that my claim had been served, today I received a letter from the court titled " Notice of Acknowledgment of service has been filed" and that the Abbey now have 28 days from the date of service to file a defence.
    (Blonde moment part)
    What exactly does this mean...?
Does this now mean I have to wait a further 14 days from tomorrow to see what happens?
Is there anything that I should now be doing?
    Should I be worried?

Need your wisdom and support!!!!!

    Hi

I put in a moneyclaim court claim request on the 1st of august.

my moneyclaim court claim was then issued to the bank (Lloyds tsb) on the 2nd august.

the bank then acknowledged on the 8th august.

which date should i be claiming the judgement on ?

is it 28 days from the 2nd august?

The date on the county court pdf file that is on my money claim says 2nd august when it was issued.

can anyone advise, i want to be sure when to do judgement so i can get my 4000 pounds back!

    thanks

I'm claiming £303.94 which includes interest but should I put the total claim (the bit where mycol calculates your total) as £238.67?

do you add the interest to the total of the claim as there is a box that you tick that asks do you want to add interest - just thinking that it will bring the fee down to £30??? I doubt it but if anyone can confirm for me!
Light bulb moment April 07: [strike]£3,655 [/strike] Oct 07: [strike]£2,220[/strike] now 0 - 3 years of Uni debt to be added at a later date :o:D

  • I submitted my claim to MCOL on the 10th August. They subimitted an acknowledgement on the 21st August.

It says they have 28 days to file defence from the date it was served. How do I know what the specific date was that it was served or am I to assume it was 5 days from the 10th Aug?

So 15th Aug plus 28 days is 11th Sept?

(Fingers crossed they forget to file their defence!!)

You should have recieved a letter giving the date it was served.
As I am not the Pope or legally qualified I may be wrong so feel free to get a second opinion from a qualified person
