Hello all, hoping to join so I have somewhere to discuss my progress with like minded individuals!
So, I have recently been told I have higher than normal blood sugar and that I need to lose some weight - I knew I'd gained a bit of weight since having DS but hadn't realised it was a stone  So I want to lose it asap.
I have started up with Slimming World again so I can lose weight and also reduce my sugar intake, and have started C25K (on w1r1 at the moment). Have also joined a gym for their lunchtime classes so this is my week's plan:
Monday: Swim before work, Pure Stretch at lunchtime
Tuesday: Yoga at lunchtime
Wednesday: C25K after work
Thursday: Pilates at lunchtime
Friday: C25K when hubby gets home
Saturday: REST
Sunday: C25K in the morning
I'd like to add some weight bearing in there but I don't really fancy using the weights in the gym and I only have Monday - Thursday lunchtimes that I can go. We have weights at home so I might try and fit some in there.
Does that look ok? Any advice or suggestions?
Also, can anyone recommend an exercise to get rid of fat on my inner thighs, right up at the top? It's starting to rub together in hot weather and it's sore

Hello lillian! Welcome
Never tried yoga so can't empathise sorry!!
Your weekly schedule is very hectic! I (personally!) would say not to overdo it by doing too much and put yourself off. You do have a good range of stuff going on which is good.
(HBS will be able to give you good advice on your schedule, and add in/take off some stuff likely! *nudge*nudge*)
I'm still just with the walking to/from work and Thursday nights Zumba. I do cycle to work a couple times a week instead of walking. And managing to get out for a 10+ mile cycle once a week. The running has kinda... ummm.... stopped....Actually, will try and get out this evening...

I'm very sedentary apart from that though (apart from Fridays when I chase around after DS all day!) so I wanted to get in as much as possible. I also figured that if I aim high and have to drop something I will still have a pretty good schedule in place.
The swimming will be an "if I can get out of the house on time" thing I think, and I think I'll substitute Pure Stretch for some weight bearing at the gym - I have a consultation tomorrow. I'm adamant I'm going to continue with yoga even though it nearly broke me today, and I love pilates!

Well I did 20 mins on treadmill (pre-set programme - fat burning apparently!) and did Wii active 30 day challenge although will do alternate days to C25K. Felt better for doing something different than walking. Back to walking/C25K tomorrow0

Wow I am ACHING today after that energetic ashtanga yoga session yesterday - still, must have done me some good! Fitness test at the gym today so I can see what I'm missing from my routine. Also had a fasting glucose test today to see if my high blood sugar was caused by the food I'd eaten that morning. My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Well done Chickvic :T
Morning all
Can't imagine there'll be much missing from your routine lilian, but keep us posted!
Did a 30 min dvd workout last night. And my hearing has gone - again!! Still a bit 'iffy' this morning so figured walking would be better than cycling considering my balance isn't just quite right!
Went and got some multivitamins + iron this morning just to stock up. Usually a dvd of over and hour doesn't faze me. Maybe because it's 'that' time of the month...Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Thanks HAB - I feel like I'm missing weight bearing - what do you think?My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Hi everyone
I need your help! I'm turning 50 at Christmas & want to be 50 & fit not 50 & fat!!
I am a total couch potato, I work in an office so the only exercise I get is walking from one desk to another. I also drive to work. I sometimes go out at lunchtimes but there's not much round here so more often than not I sit at my desk.
I started SW last week & lost 6lb
I have exercise dvds, a wii, I've bought the 30 day shred DVD but haven't used them ~ tbh I'm scared of the 30 day shred as although everyone says it's works they also say they can't move lol
I need a point in the right direction on where to start, what to do & how often! I have huge legs and would love to slim them down, and also the bingo wings could do with going!
I'd appreciate any help you can give me
Thanks0
