Check ebay - you should be able to get one for a couple ££. Or someone else might be able to point you in another direction.

Well, had zumba yesterday which was fun. Wasn't able to go at the back so spent most of my time feeling self conscious (I don't want to be in front of anyone!) and being completely out of step with everyone else.

Back to level 2 of 30ds today. Seem to have stuck on level 2 for ages but had time out with my knee and still struggling with the plank style moves. Then I went on the lappy and found some rather excellent 10 minute workouts with Tiffany Rothe on youtube. Stood in the kitchen at my lappy working out with sweat dripping off me. Feeling good today. DH is off tomorrow, sat, sun and monday so not sure whether I'll get anything done over the next few days.

Hope everyones better and stair climbing or dog walking (I NEED a dog!!).

I'm the opposite!! I stand in the front row so I can see what I'm meant to be doing and I don't have anyone tripping over themselves in front of me doing it wrong and distracting me!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Was the same when I did my pole/flex/chair classes in Belfast too!! lol :p

Would LOVE a dog! Borrowed SILs on Sunday which did the job rightly! lol :D:D

    Zumba tonight!! party0003.gif

HBS you'll know this likely! ;)

Weighed myself on one of those (noisy!) machines in the chemist today.

    The BMI figure makes sense.

Body fat index I think I understand.

But what's 'fat mass' and 'free fat mass'??

    EDIT:

Ooooh just added the 2 figures together and I come up with my weight, so I guess it's the breakdown of the body fat index??

Don't know if it counts as proper exercise...but I've had a couple of energetic walks in the snow helping family members with shopping (up to my knees in some spots so was having to lift my knee right up) and had a bit of a battle with my brother in the snow...he won by burying me when I fell over in the drift and throwing snow at me!)

Rest day yesterday. No 30ds today but did some more short workouts from youtube. Quite enjoyed the ballet based ones and hip exercises. With 30ds, I get changed, clear the floor (!), find my mat etc etc. With the lappy, I just put it on and get moving.

    Back to Jillian next week.

    Hi

Was hoping I could join in?

I've a chunk of weight to lose and I seem to be going backwards. I struggle to get to gym/class as I'm a single mummy of two pre-schoolers. The only time I haven't got a toddler hanging onto me is either when I'm at work, or when they are in bed (and I can't leave them home alone...)

So today, I'm classing clearing the drive of snow and dragging a sledge with two littlies around for almost an hour as my exercise.

I've also treated myself to a second hand wii fit system as its cheaper than the gym with the crèche (£80 per month and 10miles away) so hopefully will be able to get that going this week.

I do use myf!tnessp@l on my phone, which is great, and points out that I am naughty, have no willpower and need to stop buying biscuits. I'm afraid I have a sweet tooth :EasterBun

I lost 2.5st on the Dukan diet, which I've kept off, but can't seem to get going again. I faff about with calorie counting, and Atkins, and I really need to have a word with myself as I know Dukan works for me. I just need to be more organised.

    Anyway, that's me.

Theres some fairly decent workout stuff on youtube. Tabata style classes. You can do a tabata workout in 20 mins. I teach metafit and the average metafit workout is between 16 and 22 mins long and you work flat out to the point of exhaustion. Which sounds horrible and it is, but its much easier to do hours of cardio than 30 mins of something short and sharp

Ive always trained in the way of cardio cardio and more cardio but Ive started doing metafit at home (they dont release the workouts unless you are an instructor), but there are some decent tabata style workouts on you tube which will give you a similar calorie burn

Ive always struggled with my weight, I seem to go through periods of being very fit and very unfit. I broke my arm 5 years ago and that put me out of and off exercise for a while. I did a triathlon last year and that along with teaching too much spin (I was just unlucky) ended up with me bruising my tailbone so I cant do spin classes just now.

Im back teaching again in the community, zumba and metafit. My brother is a PT and he doesnt teach metafit but he teaches circuits and spin circuits and he doesnt bother with training on stuff like treadmills, steppers etc, he says unless you use them in a way thats HIIT, hi interval intensity training, theres other ways of getting a workout thats more effective.

And metafit. tabata, you can use your bodyweight, no other kit needed so its ideal. When I teach metafit its not a class of I do and they follow, they follow the tape, but I do the workouts at home as I wouldnt ask a class to do something Id never do myself.

I also have a gym membership and I use it, mostly for swimming, Ive been swimming a lot lately as my backside has been too sore to park it on a spin bike

My fitness pal is a great app. I use it as well.
