Anyone with enough knowledge of Consumer Law can do the same.
You can even start County Court proceedings online, it is very easy to do, and you don't need a solicitor.
I would recommend it to anyone.
Anyway, The Law is The Law.
Any car dealer cannot escape that fact.
You suggested you had been to court and won in ref to the Ops problem.
If it was entirely different whats the relevance0 -

Im neither a fan or a hater of Arnold Clark - just giving my one and only experience of the service they provided when I was looking at changing our car..... nothing more, nothing less.0 -

Thats how you ended up replying on the other thread.
I am no fan of any car dealer but as I have said 12 months down the line isnt the time to start complaining (sorry steph)0 -

I know exactly what I have said, and it is the Truth.
I despise car dealers that try and con the general public.
The Law is the only redress that most of the public have, and I learnt a long time ago that;
The Pen is Mightier Than The Sword.
Especially when dealing with dodgy car dealers.0 -

that sounds pretty good to me, but on the flip side if they have offered compensation maybe if you pushed they would give you more.
As you have said you know the car now so maybe better the devil you know0 -

Well, I may be putting 2 and 2 together here and getting...4, but;
You have another thread on the forum saying that you paid a deposit to AC, and then discovered it was an ex-hire car, so complained and got your deposit back.
Now, if you had previously bought an ex-hire car and had to go to court to win compensation, I honestly don't think you would have paid AC a deposit until you had inspected the V5 etc. to satisfy yourself you weren't about to make the same 'mistake'.
Unless you have made a hobby out of this?And that my son, is how to waft a towel!0 -

So you took a car dealer to court for not disclosing all the facts and won? Is that right0 -

Considering I've only had to write two emails to get this sort of result is speaking volumes, surely making me an offer of this nature is admitting liability(sp)
