Aw, I feel bad.

I thought there was a lot of good people on the Argos thread, some/most of whom went out of their way to help others.
Lots of them don't post here now though.
I was always too late for the Boots deals. :rotfl:
Don't feel bad! I never stuck with the Argos thread as I had more reachable bargains in Tesco and Boots. There were a lot of good people across MSE in general, but they got lost in the size of the forum. Loads of people around are still lovely no doubt, but that small intimate feel where you're happy to go out of your way to help others as you feel you know them seems to be few and far between now.
Remember that story where a regular poster put about the financial difficulties they were having and one poster sorted out their benefits, another got a Tesco home delivery ordered to them...much more of a community then. But it was small enough to be.
I often ask myself if I'd stick around here if I were a new user in 2013. Would I settle in as quickly as I did in 2004?Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Had a quick look on Mumsnet and came to the conclusion that there are quite a few foamers on there. Definitely for when I'm bored that forum.

Nowadays it would be.... 'Benefits? you want benefits? Why can't you work?! What have you done with your money?! Why can't you sell your soul? Are you expecting people to pay for you?! Etc etc. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!

Or shoot the dog, sell the children on ebay, how could you be so irresponsible as to take on these uneccessary expenses without 20 years of savings behind you in case things go wrong. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
