Just wondering if there's another forum similar to this one where people go?

Where's the old crew these days? I know a lot of you lurk here still but do you post anywhere else?

I guess Mumsnet and Armchair advice are quite similar in a way.

I've been sick for 10 days, not able to spend much time online ... or reading ... or anything much apart from mindless TV.

But was wondering how you were, aj, and hoping I'd not missed anything ...

I can't get the hang of Mumsnet. It doesn't seem to have the features necessary to navigate about in the way I do here. I like to look at profiles to see what else someone I admire might have written, & I look at my previous posts and see what the replies were etc.

I haven't visited Mumsnet but I'm told it has a high percentage of what is disillusioning me about MSE so it kinda defeats the purpose I guess.

Perhaps I'm being unfair going on other people's judgements and I should really make my own but we're similarly minded so I accepted the comments.

Ali, I think any group of people have the potential to behave in ways we donot like, under any banner.

    Oh indeed.

Just feel like it's time to interact with some new faces (or old ones), that's all.

I can't be furniture round these parts all my life. ;)

I do think this forum has changed quite a lot though. Probably due to just having got a lot bigger, but there's more trolls, more intolerance, more people who seem to have joined just to have a go and (with some exceptions) it's just less friendly all round.
Probably goes with the territory with all big forums, but I do wonder how many new people are being scared off when they're jumped on for the silliest things.
Then again I'd be lost without my comps and grabbits, and I do like to lurk and stick my nose into other threads once in a while.. And I'm relying on the pet lot to find me another pooch quite soon.
So I guess I'll be sticking around a while longer and hitting the ignore button if I need to.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
