    I think these forums have lost their small feel now - we all used to know each other, all used to hang out together. Had chats on Boots threads and Tesco threads, and there were so few users that you could keep up easily with a day of posting.

    You forgot the Argos threads.:D

    Now those were where the real posting went on. ;):rotfl:

    I like the amazon threads coming up to black friday, always fun, light hearted, full of banter, look forward to them, up at death o'clock trying to get a bargain, banter, great:D

    So I stayed away...unless I was in a feisty mood and fancied a fight...

    See that's just it, some threads you are reading fine, go off for a bit and come back and it's like:eek::eek: no way would anyone say anything like that to anyone's face:eek:

    Also the written word has a lot to answer for, it is so easy for a reader to take it out of context/disagree/look for fault/change the meaning and before you know it...Fight:rotfl::rotfl:

    Purple toe nails. Wonder what happened in the end? Reckon she's still waiting.

    I think, on any public forum, that the most supportive threads (and therefore the most comfortable for relaxing in and having a laugh etc) are the ones where people have a common interest. Like in the Arms, in the various TV programme threads.

    In the more general forums (like this one) you have lots of folk with lots of different opinions and views, so you're going to get those opinions in the threads (and the odd snarker too).

    I have 2 people on my ignore list on this site, and they are fairly recent. Everyone else I can tolerate (or just skim past their posts if I feel like). Its a public forum, so everyone can pick or choose what to read and what to post.

    Always felt excluded from those...I wasn't part of the in crowd on that one :rotfl:

    TBH, I had my status and kudos on the Tesco and Boots threads...why would I need to go anywhere else?:D:D:D:D

    Ah, the days of Refund and replace and decent clubcard deals...I miss them.

    Aw, I feel bad. :o

    I thought there was a lot of good people on the Argos thread, some/most of whom went out of their way to help others.

    Lots of them don't post here now though. :(

    I was always too late for the Boots deals. :rotfl:

    That was true of most of the sub forums...however, this families board.... I hated it and always felt judged. I only come on to reply to threads rather than start them, and still brace myself for flack through habit.

    I was battered for using Gina Ford. I was battered for suggesting that bottle feeding may be the right choice for some parents. I was battered for saying I smack my kids. I was battered for saying that I sometimes let my under 2s watch the TV and it was part of a normal life. I was battered for saying that I loved my husband more than my kids.

    So I stayed away...unless I was in a feisty mood and fancied a fight...

    Bottle-feeding? :eek:
    Gina Ford? :eek::eek:
    TV for kids? :eek::eek::eek:

    Oh, you should DEFINITELY go on mumsnet.........I give it 5 minutes before the pitchfork and flaming torch brigade get you!
