Hi everyone.
Big hugs to Crazychik, Csarina and Donny-gal Sometimes life seems so unfair.
PennyPincher Have you eaten all of that yummy cake yet?
Mrs MW Sounds like my idea of a perfect day...fish and chips and buying clothes!
A busy time at w*** today, but we spent a long time playing outside as the weather was so nice up here. A rushed tea of (frozen) hm scouse and bread followed by Brownies/Rainbows for the girls and I cast my vote on the way home. I've made the packed lunches and no doubt the wm will be on after bathtime. Another early night for me I think!0 -
bargainrzl be nice to have your mum nearer
(Door to door on public transport, about an hour and a half.) But it will be great to have her within reach of London so we can go out together to shows etc.
Nightmare day at work  Why is it that if you want something doing, you have to do it yourself
I didn't get out of the office until 6 and was still undecided on whether to go out this evening. In the end my mind was made up for me, as I went to the bus stop and the bus I needed didn't show up for ages - then got stuck in gridlocked traffic at Liverpool Street so I gave up, turned round and came home. Which is what I suppose I really wanted to do anyway. And I came back via Tesco (for some wine) and Iceland (for chocolate and Pringles
) I can't be trusted not to shop in bulk for junk food after a bad day at work!!

Hope all are having a decent evening.

Sorry, have really been out of the loop but got pms today re PP.
Well, we don't want people like that do we?. PP - I have pmd you in the past and I know your situation health wise. What you manage to do on a daily basis is just wonderful - you manage your life better than me! You and your family are fab and the fact you would take on your nephew - well!
Have you made the pm'r public - I would I think!
Love and hugs to everyone else. Just been so busy just now. Love you all and let's hope we don't get a repeat of negative messages. We are friends, sharing our day to day lives, mundane or when we have problems. But we know we can do it here.
Love to all

Hello, hope everyone is having a nice evening, my work is done for the day so thought I'd pop on for a quickie before I go and slob on the sofa and watch House:D
BIG THANKS to Ladygrim and Queenie for answering my questions so thoroughly. I have another question for anyone who feels like answering - I have read a few people mentioning 'recipes' and 'indexed' is there somewhere that all the recipes which get posted on the thread are kept for people to go back to?I'm learning a lot about how chat forums work! I think I'm getting used to the abreviations too, I have now figured out what HTH, ATM, DD, DH, OH, LO any many more mean
!So anyway, bear with me if I have to ask stupid questions every now and then:o
So, to test out the photo instruction, here (hopefully) is a picture of my doggies!
They are called Jake and Pip:DOctober grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):

We have what is called "stickied" threads on the first page of the Old Style Forum - stickied means they are there permanently, or in the case of the monthly challenges for a few days.
The Index (incl. where to find the recipes) is approx the 6th stickied post
the link to take you directly to it is:- http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=235198
There is also a "Welcome to Old Style" stickied thread which a speedier read with links to the threads deemed appropriate for those starting out - and also includes the link to the recipe thread.
The link to take you directly there is:-
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=56929
Abbreviations I believe are also covered in the links I've posted above.
In some forums (not MSE) LO doesn't stand for "little one's" but "leftovers" and DW doesn't stand for "Dishwasher" but in fact, Dear Wife
So, when I'm here and I read "turned on the DW" I have to remember they mean dishwasher
Or if they speak of 2 LO's today, I have to remind myself they are not talking 2 lots of leftovers
No question is a "stupid" question!! You can't know what you don't knowAsk away, plenty of people are willing to answer and help.
HTH (hope that helps)
PS: Jake and Pip are ADOREable!!!! Real cutiesThanks for sharing

Just had a horrible thing happen at work, I was called into the boss's office & asked if a particular member of staff had ever touched or spoken to me inappropriately, I was very surprised, I've never had any problems with the person in question & told her so. I know they are looking to make job cuts, so I hope they are not going looking for excuses to get rid of people.
Hugs
HesterTurned out he had behaved most inappriately with one of the newer vol workers, who complained. It went to court and he was put on the sex offenders register. Many of us were stunned because he had always been a gent ... but it turned out his behaviour had only been directed towards the younger, bustier, blonde members.
Not a pleasant experience for anyone involved; divides loyalties when speculation and no facts are rife and then of course the shock when it all comes out.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hmm have just posted a short reply to you all and it has gone!
Had a really busy day again at work as finishing up tomorrow. Did another sweep of fish tank tonight and looking very good. Cleaned hamster out and he is not happy - he hates bed being disturbed. Hoovered round the cage for the mess and have done some more washing.
Really looking forward to my holiday next week in Spain but DH's party to organise on return a bit daunting. We will get there - he is worrying about the catering, but tough. We will provide plenty food, wine and beer! Costo here I come on return for pizza and quiche!
Sorry not have read anything today. Have, however managed to keep up with pms.
PP some people are w@@@@@s please don't be too upset. You and I have pm'd and I know how serious your health problems. You really put us to shame at times the way you do things, along with your DH and DD, also your concern over your nephew. Love you lots and keep in there. You should make this person public!!
Love and hugs to everyone else. You are all fantastic.
