Hi,
I took kids in to work with me and boss watched them while I minuted the audiocon. I thought it was quite good for them to see where I work and what I do and meet the people there too.
I'm working my way through the list I posted earlier and am about 30% of the way there - I haven't made pastry, sorted garage stuff out, found a gardener, made pies/pasties.
However - bathroom/kitchen are clean (how daft is it to clean the kitchen before you cook?), hoovered, tidy, have been to work - just the rest to go.
I'm having a break to recharge my batteries - I have just made a cup of peppermint tea - but may have a coffee afterwards coz have got no 'umph' left!!
Love the photos ladygrim - u've obviously got a gift.
(((HUGS))) to all having a hard time at the mo or just if u need 1.

I'm very new to this forum lark and have noticed people putting photos up - I'd like to know how!
Thanks!
RacyRed actually gave me the information on Saturday. I have copied [STRIKE]his[/STRIKE] (sorry) her reply to me below. It was very easy to set up!!!
"We are not meant to put photos directly into the thread anymore but can use links to photo sites instead. You need to have something like that anyway as you cannot load photos directly into a post from your own computer.
Try www.Flickr.com or www.Photobucket.com to create an account if you do not already have something like this. Follow the upload instructions to copy the photo from your computer onto the host site. It is just a few mouse clicks, very straightforward, if sometimes a little slow.
Make the album you create (single photo or more than one) public then with the picture on the screen in front of you, highlight the address bar for the photo and copy it. Post on MSE in another window and write a word as a guide, "Here" or "Picture" or whatever you like, highlight the word, click on the thing that looks like a globe wearing slipped sunglasses in the formatting tools just above the text box and it opens a little box, delete the http:// in the URL box and paste your link in instead, click OK
And thats it! you can test it by clicking on prieview post, the link should work from the preview screen.
Sra's guide is a lot more informative than this, and better explained."
I used Flickr. Thankyou again Racyred

Two washing loads are on the line outside.
DH drove me to Lidl and got quite a bit - including a couple of wind up torches- you turn the handle for one minute and then get light for up to half an hour. I am sick of trying to use a battery torch only to find that the battery has run out or else it will not work.

I agree with Jet! Big hug and please do not feel worried to post on here with your day or anything else.
Making chicken salad for tea as it is nice and quick and about to go out for a few more bits that I could not get in Lidl."This site is addictive!"

csarina - Im so sorry for the awfull news! Sounds like she has been a fighter throughout her life. ((((hugs))) to you all.
Dannahaz - thankyou for the thought. I offered today, but he said his dad had a comfortable night, and he will wait and go over on saturday for the wk end (unless the obvious happens) I would like to go, but got to respect exMIL wishes that she only wants her children there and no other family members. exFIL is at home, its only a 1 bedroom bungalow, and can get very over crowded!
Thankyou to everyone else for the wishes ref my exFIL. Will keep you posted!
Im half way through reading a book called "Danny's Challenge" - Im sure this was made into a Real life Drama on TV a couple of years ago. Its about a father who is a hard nut and has to come to terms with his Down's Syndrome some. Ive just got to the point where he's just started to do a charity boxing to raise money for this charity. Can someone clarify for me please if it was on TV?
Mrs Mix - I remember when i had my tonsils out, (12 yrs ago) they made me eat cornflakes & toast. I asked for my ice-cream & jelly. They laughed and said they stopped that yrs ago! Im sure DD will be fine! Glad the police have caught the little s0ds!
Lovely pics Ladygrim - thanks
Moiliere - I find it so easy, I always write it on word pad, if Im inbetween jobs, or if its a quick post, I copy & paste it first. Just saves the hassle of re-typing if system froze!
I finished work a bit later today, as we had out monthly review meeting (progress report) Ive got another £20 bonus coming this month!
Went to the post office, posted a couple more parcles, then went to the school and did the deeds ref voting!
dlb I saw our new milk man this morning. He was collecting his money, I said your joking, Im not paying as Ive had no milk from you, He swears he delivered it on monday, (evidently I haven't had it) and I said where is todays milk? He left it behind our green wheelie bin! Well, it was out of sight, but I'd have never have guessed to look there. So, despite getting the milk delivered, its been a bit of hassle this week. Its early days, but see how it goes.
Right off for a cuppa now. And think "whats for dinner"
Catch you later

Hi all
Just had a horrible thing happen at work, I was called into the boss's office & asked if a particular member of staff had ever touched or spoken to me inappropriately, I was very surprised, I've never had any problems with the person in question & told her so. I know they are looking to make job cuts, so I hope they are not going looking for excuses to get rid of people.
Hugs
Hester

I've only had a quick read today but want to send hugs to Penny-Pincher, don't you dare stop posting I worry if I don't see your daily update.
Special thoughts for Crazychik and Csarina and Donny-Gal, give your Dad a hug from me.
I've been naughty again today, I bought a jacket and two tops. We parked near a fish and chip shop and gave in to temptation. We sat on a bench and had fish and chips, it was orgasmic!! At my age I'm easily pleased.
Went to Aldi then and got the proper shopping which I still haven't put away.
Have a good evening.
