    Good Morning All

WM on again! Its never ending!

Sorry I didnt get the chance to come back on yesterday. I was late leaving work, then went straight to the school. Came home to sort out more washing, iron mine & OH's work clothes for today, and get dinner organised. Aswell as filling in my tax credits yearly review thing!
I was so tired all evening, but came 10pm, and I was wide awake! Typical!

My exOH called yesterday afternoon, the family have been called to his dad's bedside. The nurse & doctors visited him, but are now concerned as his sugar level has gone down to 2, it shouldnt fall below 5. They fear the worse. When I spoke to exOH he didnt go. Too upset to drive! He will keep me informed. He is a very weak man. The treatment hasn't work. Watch this space!

My car had its health check today. Its something to do with the anti-roll bar link on the drivers front side, which needs replacing (suspension). Not as bad as I thought, and shouldn't cost a great deal.

Dlb - weren't we suppose be starting with our Milkman this week? Have you had any delivered. Im sure they was suppose to start on the monday just gone! Glad DH item arrived from ebay!

Kids not at school today, as its being used for a polling station. I will vote after work! Are we allowed to tick all the boxes?

Im slowly catching up with todays & yesterdays thread, so forgive me if some info has been repeated.

Penny-Pincher - I cant believe someone PM you regarding your health concerns. I hope they wasn't nasty. You have as much right any one else to talk about what ever you feel.
Its certainly not a problem with me! Ive got a Moulinex food mixer, but Im itching to get my mum's old kenwood chef out my loft. Its nearly 35yrs old & still going strong with all the attatchments. Its older than me. I remember her saying she brought it just before she was posted with my dad (when he was in the marines) to Hong Kong.

(((hugs))) TM - Hope you get the house thing sorted out!

Kyle - so pleased LO had a good night sleep. Lets hope it continues.

Pen Pen - congrats on reaching your 2000th post yesterday!

Snowy Owl - Im hopeless at sowing seeds. I would like something where you can chuck in the ground & leave to grow without any TLC. I too have brought packets, where its given a date to sow, and Ive done it a few times out of that time zone! Some have been successful.

Moiliere - you can transfer your earnings from paypal to a registered bank account. Its so easy. PM me if you get stuck, and I'll talk you through it. I usually keep a small amount in paypal for my own spending, and larger amounts gets transferred over. Usually takes about 5-7 working days!

Mrs - Mix - when is it DH's birthday?

csarina - glad you got your parcel sorted out!

catowen - Im so glad the new LO was ok in the end. Its heartbraking for them when they see mummy leave. Even worse for the mum to see the LO upset! Hope he settles down soon!

Busy Girl - Roll on the 23rd May Liverpool v A C MILAN !! I went to bed after the match with a very sore throat!

Right, off for a shower, and I will catch up with today's news before work.
    Love as usual
    Emma xxx

    Hello Again

    Welcome trigger2
Pen Pen - glad the chicks are coming on well
Taplady - good luck with slimming world.
Donnygal - I can sympathise with dimentia, its hard to see them like that. My nanna seriously went down hill after grandad died. It broke my heart when I used to visit her, she thought I was her neice from London. I miss her terribly! Once she did make me laugh, she told me a secret,a nd said she was pregnant - she was 77 :eek They dont a have clue to everyday life, and something they say, gets repeated 2mins after! Bless them!

Hello everyone, my first time posting on the daily thread.

Have been reading the daily thread for ages and thought it was about time I started posting.

Weather pretty grey here today, was hoping to get some more gardening done, as im off work today, will have to see how it turns out later.

WM on and bathroom and bedcovers to wash. My nieces are coming to stay tomorrow so will clean up today and fingers crossed weather okay tomorrow as I want to take them to the park for the day.

Have been given a BM cookswork model, not sure if any good but will have a read of instructions and have a go at some bread later. Also going to make the weetabix brownies today for the first time so will see how they turn out.

    Bye for now

    Morning everyone

I've had a productive morning this morning and done some business stuff which I'd been procrastinating around. More eBaying this morning, pop to post office, make a few phone calls, filing and ironing this afternoon. Also going to make a lasagne for the freezer. Really want to finish clear out of the study too but it is a bit overwhelming at the moment (mainly because everytime I come in here I end up on here ).

Waiting for the postman this morning as I'm waiting for 2 dresses to arrive from eBay. We have so many weddings this year, 5 we think! I am stocking up on eBay and will probably then sell them on after I've worn them once :money: First wedding we are going to this year is on Sunday and am waiting for a dress for then (although I do have a reserve).

Hugs to anyone who needs one or fancies one. It's nearly the (extra long)weekend!

    Morning all.

Welcome to Trigger 2 and Night-owl (you should fit right in with a name like that.) ;)

Here's some energy for all the sleepyheads. ***Zing*** :D

I'm so jealous you have chooks PenPen. If I had any more space they'd be first on my list.

Happy birthday to Donny's dad. Sorry things are not easier for you or him. It's such a cruel disease.

Glad you had good fun Racy and Pink but funny how you never mentioned drinking any wine over the weekend. Must have gone teetotal eh? :pEdited to add....Sorry I've just reread your post and you do indeed mention sipping wine. It's just that I've never seen you sip anything alcoholic in your life. :p :rotfl:

Well we've had about 10 days of sun now and we scottish dwellers are not used to it. My house is neglected but my garden has never looked better. ;)

Pink has inspired me to have another go with veggies and I have planted Tomatoes, peppers, chillies, turnips, cucmber, courguette, broad beans, runner beans, rocket, spinach and about 75 different kinds of lettuce. :o I'm afraid I don't do things by halfs.:D

House is swished this morning and DW and Bm are on. Newsflash!!!! My laundry basket is empty so my WM is on a well earned break. :D

OH is coming home from work early to take me for lunch and for a nice walk as we've both been caught up with drudgery recently and decided we need to make a bit of time for ourselves. Well..........I decided..........he just did what he was told.;) :rotfl:

Dtwin1 is back at school after a serious bout of tonsilitis and I miss her already. She is a different child when Dtwin2 is away as she steps out of her sister's shadow a bit.

I'm off to feed the cats and the birds then to iron the last 6 shirts. Yes that means my laundry basket and ironing basket will both be empty for the first time in...........well............forever.:o :j :T
I have parent's "evening" at 4pm then off to vote.
Tea is savoury mince pie with new potatoes and brocolli. Just need to heat the pie and prep the veg.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning Guys!

Thanks for all the lovely posts...I really dont deserve them!

Anyway, we have DD at home with a very sore throat, temperature and cold. Is it going around ATM? She looks truly awful and has taken over the sofa in the lounge.

Cleaners are here ATM and its too cold to go to the park, so I will do some more of my essay later today. WM is on, DW has been emptied and bed stripped. Probably have another 1-2 loads to do as all the bedding needs doing.
OH took relatives to airport this morning at 4am:eek:   then popped into Asda on way home. Picked up some goodies and some school shoes for DD as hers are falling apart:rolleyes:

    B-Bacon Sarnie
    L-Ham salad & pasta
D-Shepherds Pie, french beans and cauliflower

    Hugs to all.

Morning all..........not a happy day for us we had some bad news last night..my oh's cousins wife has been fighting cancer for 2 years, we had an email last night from her son in the US to say that she had lapsed into a coma on Saturday and had been given the last rites, so her fight is almost over. We are very fond of her, we spent 3 holidays one with her and her husband and two with her after her husband died, one of which we spent a week in Hawaii at her timeshare.

She has not had an easy life, born in the Dutch East Indies, her father was murdered by the Japs during the war, her mother and the 3 daughters made dolls from their old clothes to exist, she married OH's cousin after the war and they emigrated to Canada and then moved to the US to give her children a better life, she is pre-deceased by her husband and 3 of her 4 sons, but although she must have been devastated she picked herself up and carried on.........she is such a lovely lady and we will miss her so much.

Its very dull and quite cold here, we are off to the lottie to do what we can before we go away, this afternoon we have a trip to the charity shop to drop off another load of bits and bobs found whilst we have been unpacking.

Tomorrow we have our appointment with the idiots at the HB office........
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Morning all,

Smoky babe - glad to hear LO's on the mend
PP - hope u got my PM (not a mean one - I think u should name and shame)
Donny-gal - I can see my Mum going the same way as her Mum did before her (((HUGS)))

I love reading all the posts and make a couple of notes as I go through but haven't got time to list responses to every1.

DD's are off school coz of polling day - I've got to go in to office for an hour but have got major childcare problems and am stressed (STRESSED).

WM and TD are on. It looks like the sun may show it's face this afternoon, but at the mo. it's cloudy and a bit chilly so no washing out (need to get new pegs too).

To do: hoover/clean (inc kitchen/bathroom), make pastry, vote, go to w**k, sort out all the crap from garage, sort out washing, find a gardener (just to get rid of initial growth and give it a tidy - my friend and I got 13 bags of rubbish just from the front borders and it hasn't touched it!!), make chs/spinach pasties/jam tarts/apple pies.

Didn't have egg fried rice last night so that's on the menu 2nite with s/wiches for lunch.

    Hope every1 has a gr8 day.

    Luv Jxx

    Edited to say (((HUGS))) Csarina
