Morning all
Thanks to MS, I now check Aldi, Lidl, Netto and Asda for bargains, and someone has now told me about a Home Bargains locally - where will it end
Shopping this morning, then down to the allotment to do some watering. I have some Indian snacks so will make curry for tea and I am going to have a go at naan bread in the BM.
Hope everyone has a good day xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Morning all.
Hope we are all good, but big hugs if not.
Feeling very tierd this morning didnt get back from ds1 footy match ( which they won 2-1) until about 7.45pm, then had to make tea as we hadnt had time before we left! So by the time we had all ate and i sat down it was 9.30ish.
Plus a girl i know phoned me wants me to go to her house this morning to help her sort out a problem with ebay, iv told her what to do about 5 times this week but she still keeps ringing, i normally wouldnt mind but i had planned on going to see my mum this morning but i will put that off until tommorow now.
Plans for reat of day, ironing and quick tidy round as house isnt to bad at the moment. Tea again has to be something quick as kids at basketball until 4.30 then we have to leave at 5.30 for footy training, so not sure what to do yet.
Plan to sort out some ebay items to list over next few weeks, maybe only 5 items a week as i cant list like i used to,i used to spent what seemed like my whole life in the post office( i once listed 78 items to finish on the same day big mistake!!) But want to try and make a bit of money towards the car taxes which are due soon.
Have a good day everyone

Good morning everyone! Bit overcast and chilly here, so I'm off running first thing before the heat (and pollen) gets going. Then lots of cleaning/tidying - not done much this week as I've been at w*** and we've all been busy in the evenings.
Hope it perks up a bit later - I'm wanting to spend some time in the garden. A lot of seedlings need dividing and planting on. Really pleased :T that I've managed to grow lots of basil. I've potted it into large plastic pots, which slot neatly into a lovely clay pot that I have. I'm going to put the clay pot on the kitchen windowsill, with one plastic pot in it. When the basil is gone, I'll swap it for a new one, and try and revitalise the other with TLC in the polytunnel.
It's the choir dinner later, so looking forward to that. DH and I are going to pop into the polling station on the way.
Mioliere, know exactly what you mean about paperwork. I need to tackle mine.
Pen-Pin, keep posting about what's important in your life. We all have ups and downs, and are here to support everyone. (((((Hugs))))) to you and your family.
DH *candled* the hatching eggs last night (shone a torch through and you can see inside) and it looks like they're all developing properly. Great news, and I'm now very excited. Only 2 weeks to go............
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Hi all - just a quick flick through here with a coffee before I get going! DH dispatched with loads of HM goodies in his packed lunch; breakfast cleared away (Weetaflakes with goji berries and sultanas), WM spinning the first of two loads; veggies put reading for prepping for dinner. Ebay items ready for listing DLB 78 items ending on the same day! I'd have had a nervous breakdown - I nearly went to pieces with 8 items last week!
QUEENIE -thanks for the recipe; will definitely give it a go! And, yes, I am voting - wouldn't miss that!
TAPLADY Good luck with Slimming world!
PENPEN so glad chicks are on the way! Exciting, isn't it? Please keep us posted!
OMG - I'm so ashamed! I've just looked down at the keyboard and its' SO dusty - I turned it upside down and gave it a shake and all these crumbs, dust and heaven knows what came fluttering out! Now my desk needs dusting and I only did it yesterday!
CYA later!

For those who have a Polling Day today .... make it count!

Thanks for the reminder Queenie. I will walk down with DD later.
((Hugs)) to Pen-Pin and anybody else who needs one. I'm also disgusted by somebody sending a PM like that
My plans for the day is to get some washing on, have a tidy round and then do some more work in the garden. I spent about 2 hours making newspaper pots last night to pot on some of my seedlings. I'm so proud of myself tbh I've never manged to get much done with the garden in the past.
If we are going to the polling station it means a trip to see the horses in a local field so i best find some carrots otherwise they will be upset.
Have no idea whats for tea but i'm sure that I'll work it out
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -

Carrots
We are off to the coast this weekend, coming back on Monday. If I'm not required to go into work next week I shal dip a toe back into the world of OS propper.
My sofa covers have been giving me reproachful looks for a couple of weeks and desperately need a good wash.
My windows are almost opaque with grot and grime.
I've a car-boot bargain yogger to 'play' with.
The freezer looks like an artic waste land.
The cats are moulting and the carpets need a good dredging and steam cleaning.
Other than that the place is a palace - so plenty to keep me out of trouble, or and there's Ebaying to be done. They will ask me to go into work now and scupper all my plans - you see.
I havn't read the daily for a few days so havn't digested PP's posts yesterday (will pop back later and have a cleg). Personally I like to hear how you are doing PP and if you don't post for a few days I start to worry how you are so please keep posting.
Hugs to all

Morning All
My Dad is 87 today, but unfortunately due to dementia, hasn't a clue about it. Went to see him last night, and took him a bag of Fruit Pastilles and Jelly Babies. I gave him some of the Fruit Pastilles and he really enjoyed them. He cannot chew hard sweets now, his gums have shrunk, so his teeth do not fit, and he cannot cope with having any new ones made, so just copes with his gums. Sounds mean, and I would buy him anything, but he needs nothing, and doesn't even know us when we go! But he had 84 good years before it hit him 6 months after my Mum died, what really hurts his the loss of dignity for him, he was a clever, articulate guy, who would do anything for anyone, loved his garden, football, and cars, latterly watching Parliament on the TV, and discussing things with me, adored by his Grandkids, Great Grandkids and any kids he met he used to lovingly tease them. Now he sits there, with an odd smile, having to wear nappies, be fed, and having no idea of the world passing him by. Keeps getting up and walking round the room in the EMI Nursing Home, but has not idea why! Sorry folks but life is so unfair sometimes!
For me, booked with the Osteopath for next Tuesday so may find out what is causing the problem with my knee. Fingers crossed anyway, until then, grin and bear it and ignore it if possible.
Having Friday off so a real long weekend, trying to see if we can get organised enough to go tonight, only 50 miles away, so with the lighter nights doesnt matter if we arrive a bit late. Sorry Amie got an awful feeling the wine may be hit a bit hard this weekend:o
Glad the little one is making some progress Smoky you feel so helpless when they are ill.
Good Luck with the exam Queenie. When you have your head around it Taplady maybe you fancy explaining it to me. Talking about having to do something different as going nowhere fast. Hope your DH's back is soon better tiredmum nothing worse than an OH not sleeping right and disturbing you! How's the training going Pen-Pen? The forecasters have said it will get brighter later here, but maybe only around teatime.
Right off to get up to date as I have tomorrow off and Spanish this afternoon.
(((Hugs))) as needed, and have a great Bank Holiday weekend.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Good morning everyone,
Just a quick hello from me this morning as I’m off to Homestart again today and want to leave the house generally tidy with all the beds made, the dishes done and the washing hung on the line….because when I get home I have an appointment with a deckchair and a book in the garden. Isn’t the weather glorious?
Old style today so far:
Washing machine on.
Breadmaker on.
Bathroom’s had a lick and a promise.
I still have to have a think what to make for tea...again it’s a work night for me so I’ll need something that will mean I can eat before I go out but that will keep for the others coming in. That sort of meal is so much easier in the winter with stews/soups/casseroles etc. I’m thinking some sort of salad, but I’m seriously lacking in inspiration this morning….if anyone has any suggestions they’d be very welcome.
Ok, I’d better stop talking about it and make a start…
I hope you all have a lovely day.
