No you've miss-understood. I don't bother wasting my time.
I also don't need someone to act as if they're my brand new friend just because I'm buying something, I don't require hours of attention just becuse I'm in a shop. Or anything where people divert themselves from buying to more inspecting/mystery shopping when they go out.
It's simple - In, Buy or don't bother, Out.0 -
I'm afraid I'm with Emily-Howard here. As a nation we are accepting bad manners, bad language, bad service, bad government etc and all because we don't take the time to make our views known. Mind you, I also think if we take the time to view our dissatisfactions then we must also speak up when we receive better than expected service. Did this recently in a huge garden centre where the department manager was exemplary in her handling of my difficulty but when I asked for the general manager (to flag up the GOOD service) I almost wished I hadn't bothered! he was casual, disinterested and oafish. Puts one off bothering again but that's not fair on those doing good work. We all need to take some time to stand up for good standards. Otherwise we will continue to get what we get now.:eek:0

I was once told by a customer after serving her that i had provided excellent service to her. It put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. So if you do get good service, please tell the person concerned as it will make them feel appreciated0

I have never heard anything so ridiculous in all my life! The checkout girl called her supervisor to check that she couldn't sell them, and this was confirmed. I said well just give them to me then? Obviously they wouldn't do that. I told them that I just wanted to buy them, that I couldn't get this honey anywhere else and that I had now bought the yogurt to go with it! So I asked to speak to the manager - they pointed me to CS. I explained the same to her, asked for the manager who eventually came about 10 minutes later. She went off in search of the honey, brought it back to the till, then tried to tell me it didn't have an EAN code so they couldnt sell it etc etc. I said I don't care what code it doesnt have - I just want to buy it! I also said so for the sake of 2 jars of honey you are prepared to lose a customer who spends £80 per week here? She said well that's your choice but I can't sell it to you! I left and told them I would be contacting their head office. They didn't care. I am just sick to the back teeth of poor customer service everywhere and in everything I do! In my job I deliver excellent customer service so why shouldn't I expect it? I hate this country. I am sick of these huge companies like tesco, virgin media, Sky etc etc who monopolise their line of business and all provide the worst customer service possible.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -

It looks like a case of 'computer says no' at Tescos
The staff have to follow instructions by the letter as their draconian bosses will give them hell.
But it is so ridiculous, unless there is a very good reason, such as a recall, rather than their faulty software! An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

I'd go along with that. Used to be a prank when we were students.
Has anyone seen the Tesco's Value cards you can get off the internet?
HGave a look at this link - http://www.code-d.com/tesco-cards/index.php
I've been tempted to print a few off and drop them into the display at the local Tesco :rotfl: - Just concerned at the legality of doing it as it's reverse shoplifting :rotfl:0 -
If a cashier said that to me I would probably say 'ok, I'll get it next time'. It would be really sad of me to argue with the cashier, call a supervisor, get vexed and write an email etc.
Wow, if I were behind a customer who wanted to go the whole hog with a helpless cashier, I would probably ask them to get a move on / life.
But thats me. Simple, straight forward with precious time.0
